Headphone jack doesn't work

It could be there is dust in your jack. Cut down a Q-Tip and stick it in. If that doesn't fix it, it could possible be the jack has gone out. There are USB sound cards that would provide a jack.

It is support by some hardware manufacturers but generally your hardware has to support it. So it is possible.

My headphones don't work, but the wires are not broken. only one side works if you put pressure on the jack.

What you describe means that there is a connection problem at the jack end. e don't if it's at the male jack (the one at the cable) or at the female one (the jack on the device). Check your headphones at another device to clarify this. If the problem is active on the other device too, you have to fix the male jack. In order to do this, you can easily change this end with another jack (complete jack and part of the cable from another headphones) by connecting the cables. The best solution is to change the jack with another one and solder the cables but since these cables are very thin, it isn't so easy.

In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post me a reply before rejecting my answer.

Need to hook up headphones to an RCA F19436 19" TV

The headphones have to be attached to a specifically identified headphone connector that switches off internal speakers.

Audio only plays from left headphone

The contacts inside the headphone jack are made of a springy metal there is one for the left and one for the right speakers. This happened to my Blackberry and I took it apart and got inside the jack block and re-sprung the contacts. It worked for me... I used a dental pick.

I can only hear out of one headphone i ve bought new headphones it just want work

Hate to tell you this, but most likely the headphone jack on your player is broken. It happens alot. If it's under warranty return it to the store. I don't believe the jack is user replaceable on this player. Try inserting the headphone jack only partway and see if you get both sides. Your cheapest solution if it's out of warranty may be to just insert the jack to the point at which you get both sides to work. It's a crappy solution, but it's probably your only hope. It's not a software problem or anything that can be fixed without tearing the player apart. Sorry for the bad news....

Cannot hear music

The bad news is that your headphone jack is most likely shot. The soldered connections inside are most likely broken. This is not repairable generally, at least not for a cost that would be reasonable. Music will play through your computer because it can be read off your player through the USB connection. Use it as a data storage drive and buy a new one, or a used one. I've seen used T30s on Amazon for around $30 to $40.
