Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
Could be overheated
Posted on May 07, 2010
Make sure the PS3 is turned off. Take out the hard drive from the PS3 and then put it back in. Now turn the system on and see if that takes care of the problem.
If that doesn't work then turn off the PS3. Hold down the power button in the front and turn on the PS3 in the back, it will make a beeping sound, once it does that then let go of the power button on the front and see if you get video, this will reset the PS3 to factory defaults.
If this doesn't work then that means either the power supply is bad or the motherboard is bad.
