It's not a software problem ... i think u can be able to see such sort of problems frequently while you are moving the lid... it may be the problem with with tour motherboard or lcd...u can check it by adjusting the lid angle ,if u can see the flickering it is the problem with your lcd...or else,if u are experiencing the problem,while the laptop is in idle state also...it is the problem with your motherboard... no need to worry dude.....this problem can be solved by refixing the connection between the lcd and motherboard...so contact your hp service center...
