My 6LSC8255EQ1 Wirlpool top loader has developed a knock

My 6LSC8255EQ1 has developed a knock but only when spinning. It deems to be constant regardless og speed and is less loud when spinning fastest.

is it a top loader? if so, older top loaders do not have a balancing function so you must evenly distribute the load.

Whirlpool top loader has knocking sound when it goes into spin / pump stage.

You probably have a bad bearing at the bottom of the tub or damage to the gearcase.

GE Profile - Loud knocking on spin cycle

Just random input, I apologize if this is of no help to you. I've only experienced this with my washer when clothes somehow get bunched up on one side of it.  The best I can tell you at the moment is to make sure there is relatively equal distribution of clothes around the "washer bucket thingy" if you hear the bang bang bang again.
