Question about KitchenAid 24 in. KUDI01FLSS Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher

Clean Light blinks, wash cycle does not initiate

At one point, possibly due to a power failure/spike in the house, the Control Lock was activated and the Clean light/indicator repeatedly blinks @ 8 flashes per cycle. It took over 8 seconds (as opposed to the 4 seconds) to unlock the control. However, I have found no way to override the blinking Clean light/indicator.

Consequently, the wash system does not come on.

Any cogent technical support that remedies this problem is greatly appreciated. Thank you

The clean light usually will blink due to a failure to heat the water properly. I have put together some information on this and how to reset the machine so it will work again. Follow the link below and let me know if it helps.

Possible Control Board Failure

Hello,
This washer can be a pain to diagnose. Diagnostic document link. www.pwslaundry.com%2Ffiles%2Fdocs%2Fmaytag-whirlpool%2FTech-Sheet-W10280489-Rev-D.pdf&ei=K_JCU-yhK4Sh2AWIzYCQBA&usg=AFQjCNFDvmjAg2YHolMCS_ZHhzuw0_lb3w&sig2=OxlosNGyV7nkO4Rc48PNpw&bvm=bv.64367178,d.b2I&cad=rja

Follow the diagnostic directions. The first suspect part would be the mode shifter. Next I would suspect the main control board. All the testing info you need is in the service manual. Check/Ohm out the shifter first.

My whirlpool whitemagic washing machine top panel board doesnt work or no power?

It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors due to feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/MOTOR/DRAIN pump/ valve to open up and allow each function to be driven starting from the flow of water into the drum as also the drain valve to open to exit the water at the point of the program cycle. If this does not happen then the voltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.

If there is no power check the outlet and mains wire. If not the control board is a suspect., check the door switch which needs to close for the program to activate.

Whirlpool Quiet Partner II clean light blinks 7 times

The clean light flashing 7 times is an error code indicating an issue with the wash temperature. If the control does not detect a 4*F temperature rise in the main wash cycle, it will display the fault as the clean light flashing 7 times. There are several things that could cause the water not to heat, including the water being too hot coming in, an open door switch, or a faulty component in the heater circuit. The most common cause is the door switch not closing properly. This can be due to a loading issue or a latch issue. If upon visual inspection of the heating element no obvious defects are found, I would recommend resetting the control and running another cycle, paying close attention to door closure. If the light begins flashing again, you likely have a component failure. The heat circuit consists of several components including the element, control, door switch and tub thermostat(s). Reset the control by pressing teh following buttons within 5 seconds.

Hit Temp Wash Heated Dry Hi Temp Wash Heated Dry

Washing cycle cuts out I noticed "power cut" on

It sounds like you may have a loose connection somewhere and you are loosing power to the machine, worst case scenario there an issue with the motor controller module.

I dont understand the door flop down, these should lock unless of course the motor locking unit is buggered causing the system to restart.

The wash light and the start/cancel button keep flashing. How do I fix it? I have a Kitchen Aide dishwasher model KUDS02FR

Hi,

The clean light usually will blink due to a failure to heat the water properly. This dishwasher looks for a temperature rise of the water during a heating cycle if it fails to see this rise for multiple cycles it may shut down and blink the clean light.
There are a few things to check before resetting the control.

-The unit not being level so both door switches do not make contact
-
The sump plugged up so water is not pumping across the heater (see sump clean out below)

- Not enough water filling the dishwasher

- The heat element is not working

To reset the control use this key dance within 5 seconds press:HEATED DRY, NORMAL, HEATED DRY, NORMAL
This will cause you to enter the diagnosis cycle once this is finished or you hit cancel the control should be unlocked and ready to use.

Thank you !

Why won't door latch lock?

The lock is activated by the control board / timer at specific times to prevent opening of the door (like when the tub is filled with water during the wash cycle and during the high speed spin cycle). The electrical or mechanical part of the lock may have failed or the portion of the control board that energizes the lock may have failed.

If it is just the lock, it may be a relatively easy fix - but it is always possible that the failure of the lock also caused the subsequent failure of the control board too (that's just Murphy's Law) . A control board replacement in these machines typically is not overly difficult job; but you may find the board itself may be a fairly expensive part.

I hope this helps
