I have a crafstman model 580.752600, serial number 1005587996 2,600 psi 2.5 gpm pressure washer with a 7.0Hp intek briggs and stratton engine. I rebuilt the engine because it broke a connecting rod. SOURCE: troy bilt pressure washer will not build or reach high pressure

check the non-return valves in the pump block. if these are damaged or dirty you pressure will be greatly reduced. they are located behind the 3 lage brass hexagonal caps.

I hope this helps

SOURCE: Need to know where oil

I have the same model...... it should be just underneath the unit.... it will look like a square head recessed. I used the ratchet set extension and it fit just right. I literally had to tilt the darn thing upside down to find it. Then once it was loosen a bit, I put the machine upright on the wheels again, and slip a plastic pan underneath as I finished unscrewing the oil plug, Out came the black goo.

SOURCE: I do like to know if this washer is good enough

We power washed houses for years with a 2400psi machine. The machine weighed about 90 pounds. 1 strong man could pick up the weight, but usually it took 2 men to unload it from the trailer.

A small machine can advertise 2400 psi ... but that is for 3 square inches at a time. The heavier machine shoots a 10" or wider swath of 2400psi.

We ran our machine twice a week for years. We had a honda engine. I'm sure the briggs engine is good. I wouldn't buy a used machine... unless the price was low and it started on first pull. Electric starter on your power washer might be a repair-waiting-to-happen because it is constantly exposed to water and dirt.

I have a new model 020486 pressure washer and as soon as ithe engine starts it runs at full power and keeps on running at full throttle and does not idle down. any help out there? thanks

Check the Gov. linkage to make sure it`s moving freely and note if shaft on side of engine may need adjustment.
if so loosen up crimp bolt (Caution Gov. shaft can slide in to engine and need to be disassembled to be recovered ) turning C C and making sure throttle shaft is closed tighten bolt.NOTE, Some B&S engines are C W Adj. as well

I have a northstar pressure washer 2000pw serial #03005610 item #157754b someone has took carb off and u was wonderin if u could give me a blowup of how the linkages and springs go ?

You will find your information by looking for model number and code of engine. Look on the fan cover, valve cover engine block or tag directly on the engine itself. Example would be Honda model gx340 from starter of engine. Then check google or mfg. web site for manual showing governor linkage. Norhstar uses several brands of engines. Good luck

No pressure

Replace the bypass valve, this is the most common problem. Failing that remove high & low pressure valves and ensure they are not blocked or worn
