Question about Craftsman Garden
I have a crafstman model 580.752600, serial number 1005587996 2,600 psi 2.5 gpm pressure washer with a 7.0Hp intek briggs and stratton engine. I rebuilt the engine because it broke a connecting rod. I now however cannot figure out how the trottle and governor linkage go on.I was wondering if you could supply a description or a diagram. Thanks Jon.

The model number is required to get the correct manual.
The Model Number is on the motor tag.
It is in the format XXX . XXXXXX
Where X = a number.

check the non-return valves in the pump block. if these are damaged or dirty you pressure will be greatly reduced. they are located behind the 3 lage brass hexagonal caps.
I hope this helps

After a long none use, I tried to wash my driveway and powered on the washer,it did, but when i tried to engage the power washer by pressing the wand lever, it did not engage. What can I do to get the power washer working?

SOURCE: Need to know where oil
I have the same model...... it should be just underneath the unit.... it will look like a square head recessed. I used the ratchet set extension and it fit just right. I literally had to tilt the darn thing upside down to find it. Then once it was loosen a bit, I put the machine upright on the wheels again, and slip a plastic pan underneath as I finished unscrewing the oil plug, Out came the black goo.

We power washed houses for years with a 2400psi machine. The machine weighed about 90 pounds. 1 strong man could pick up the weight, but usually it took 2 men to unload it from the trailer.
A small machine can advertise 2400 psi ... but that is for 3 square inches at a time. The heavier machine shoots a 10" or wider swath of 2400psi.
We ran our machine twice a week for years. We had a honda engine. I'm sure the briggs engine is good. I wouldn't buy a used machine... unless the price was low and it started on first pull. Electric starter on your power washer might be a repair-waiting-to-happen because it is constantly exposed to water and dirt.
