Question about Microwave Ovens

1 Answer

I am trying to fix a commercial Panasonic microwave model NE-2157R I bought the Shelf tray (part # ANE010T8U0AP) (SKU: 13988698) at partstore.com but when I replaced it and when I turned the microwave on, (with a small bowl with water) the microwave made sparks under the shelf tray. It would be great if someone can tell me how to solve this.

You are going to have to check the area that the sparks came from to see if there is any bare spots that are showing metal. The oven has a coating on it that prevents the sparking from occurring. Also take note that the sparking can cause the microwave tube to burn out. On another note, if you take the unit apart, federal law says that you have to test it for microwave radiation leakage. THis is not something that you can do yourself. Also since it is a commercial unit, if you are using it in a business setting you are open to liability.

Turntable for microwave model#nnt945sfx

The cooking tray and roller for the NNT945SFX are available from Panasonic on the microwave's product page under the accessories tab. See http://shop.panasonic.com/support-only/NN-T945SF.html .

The parts list from Partstore.com is fairly complete: https://www.partstore.com/Model/Matsushita/Panasonic/NNT945SFX.aspx . The cooking tray for the NNT945SFX is part number F06014M00AP. It is available here: https://www.partstore.com/Part/Matsushita/Panasonic/NNT945SFX/Matsushita/Panasonic/F06014M00AP/New.aspx . The roller that goes under the glass tray is part F290D9330AP. That is available here: https://www.partstore.com/Part/Matsushita/Panasonic/NNT945SFX/Matsushita/Panasonic/F290D9330AP/New.aspx . The motor to run the turntable is available as well.

I hope this helps. Other vendors will have the tray and roller as well.

I have a Sainsbury microwave SKU 126251366 and no user manual. Can anyone help?

SKU number is not a lot of good as this is the just the sales code on the supermarket shelf. You would need a make and model number. Sainsbury's didn't make it, a microwave company did. By law, there should be a model number on the back with voltage, amps, and serial number.

Google

<model number> manual

or

Try Sainsbury's direct.

Where can I get a manual for a panasonic microwave convection oven serial number 863170033 model number NN-2909 manufactured in June 1993.

Partstore.com has the owner's manual for sale: http://www.partstore.com/Model/Matsushita/Panasonic/NN2909.aspx ; scroll through the parts list in the All Parts section or limit your search to the Microwave documents in the box on the left. http://www.partstore.com/Part/Matsushita/Panasonic/NN2909/Matsushita/Panasonic/OMNN2909/New.aspx is the direct link.

Unfortunately, I do not see the NN-2909 listed at any other site.

I hope this helps.

Turntable wheel under glass tray broken

If the microwave comes with a roller ring to rotate the glass turntable then I would recommend that it needs to be used when the microwave is operating, as the turntable rotates the food so it can be heated evenly.

I would recommend checking with your local Panasonic repairer he may have access to a new roller or even a second hand one to tide you over.

Microwave runs for a few seconds then F 12 displays on screen and it stops

The following is a solution for the Panasonic brand microwave. I do not know your brand so this is the best I can do.

PANASONIC
Model: NE-1057, NE-1057C, NE-1257, NE-1077, NE-1277, NE-1457, NE-1457C, NE-1757, NE-1477, NE-1777 Symptom: Code "F11" or "F12" appears on the display intermittently Problem: Moisture is accumulating on control panel from steam rising out of the door. Solution: Install foam sealer (cushion rubber) along lower edge of control panel escutcheon. Part # A8251-3180
