Check for lint around the sensor. so under the dryer look for built up lint, and while you are under there vacuum. If that doesnt fix the issue you will need to get a new sensor or just deal with the lite being on

How do I clean lint from inside GE Harmony Profile Dryer?

You have to remove the panel. The assume the lint filter works better then they usually do and do not make it easy to open up and clean inside. You may have to open it from the back side which does open up to allow repairs, etc.

Clean Lint Filter Light/Possible Heat Problem?

Take the front panel off the bottom and check the big hoses that connect to the drum. From what you are saying, the fan is working but not drawing air through the drum. That is why the light is on because it is not sensing air flow through the connections to the drum.

DPGT650EHMG CLEAN LINT FILTER LIGHT WILL NOT GO OFF

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. To start with the first thing you should do is to remove the lint filter and clean the lint out of inside where the lint screen goes. After this unplug the unit for 5-10 minutes and then push & hold the start/pause button for 10-15 seconds and reconnect the unit. If still it won’t work then it’s the sensor that has gone bad and needs to be replaced. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

GE Profile electric dryer continues to stop and say check lint filter, however lint filter is clean?

You should get one of of those long handled dryer vent brushes from Home Depot or Lowes and clean the vent pipe also. Not enough air is moving over the vent sensor.

My Profile Harmony dryer is not pushing the air through the dryer. It will heat, tumble, and the screen is working fine. We just don't have air flow through to the vent outtake.

you venting either inthe dryer or through the house is pluged check and clean external venting first and then try it. then if still acting up check the internal venting. usuall u can take off the back or bottom panel of the dryer. it is not very difficult to do but none the less becarefull and unplug the machine. and check your lint filer withevery use and make sure it fits properly. and venting is as free flowing as possible.

GE Profile Dryer - sensor problem

When I pull up the exploded view of your model, it does not show an individual moisture sensor, but is does show disconnect plug(s) for it. I can only assume that the sensor bars are an intrical part of one of the front bulkhead components. That all being said, the most common reason for your symptoms is when people use fabric softener sheets in the dryer, the sheets leave a waxy type coating on the silver sensor bars inside the drum, near the air inlet to the lint filter. If you clean those two (usually about 4 inch long x about 1/4 inch wide) metal bars off, they will be able to detect the moisture level of the clothing again, and your dryer will work on auto dry again.

Check Filer

the clean filter light is just a reminder light.  There is no reset button.  It will always come on when you turn on the unit.

Bosch Dryer lint filer warning

The Bosch Dryer has a temperature probe in the heater exit and in the exhaust area visible when you open the door. If the temperature difference between the two gets to high, the lint filter is assumed to be plugged and the alarm goes off.

It seems that the temperature probe at the heater, can end up with a faulty connection to the control panel over time due to corroded contacts or lint build up. When this happens the control panel thinks the filter is clogged and it may also not turn on the heating elements properly. Remove the back cover over the heating element (12 screws) and then remove the one screw holding the red wiring connection to the dryer body. You can then wiggle out the wiring connection and clean / unplug and replug in the connector for the sensor. (plug with two small wires only). A little hard feeding the connector back through the hole so take your time and don't damage the wires). Should all work again. May want to inspect inside the heater at same time and make sure the overheating switch is not tripped. ( press in the red button).
