There are several avenues for you. 1. do a serch on ebay for the battery. 2. try your local two-way dealer or 3. go to Unidens web site.

SOURCE: walkie talkie problem

That would depend on what is wrong with the radio(s) Most GMR radios are through away's. The average bench time for a repair on a single radio is anywhere from $70 - $100 dollars and thats not including parts. Some manufactuers have a flate rate charge to repair thier product. you might try that avenue.

SOURCE: We have an older model Uniden NOAA walkie talkie &

They are most likely GMRS or FRS, should be 14 or 22 ch's.
Makes no difference they all operate on the same frequencies.
Any of them will work providing you pay close attention to the operating miles. some are 3 some are 26. but that is only Line of Sight. many people don't understand that. And same goes if they are for water use (Mairne radios) they all operate on the same freqs.
No need to worry. need any more help contact me at.

My Uniden walkie talkie keeps saying L very time I push a button

You've set the keylock feature on your walkie talkie. From the Uniden manual...

KEYLOCK

ON/OFF Press and hold the call/lock key until the "L" appears. After 1 second, the LCD will return to the channel display. To exit Keylock on mode, press and hold call/lock again. Note: While in keylock on mode, it will still receive transmissions.

Walkie talkie batteries don't last

What you have been using are consumer grade walkie talkies. The rechargeable battery packs in them should last a full business day, unless you are in a high use area. This being said, it is also possible you might need to replace the rechargeable battery pack as they usually have just a one year life expectancy. As they start to fail they will go less and less time in a day.

To answer your question about a radio which will go a full business day, any of the business division Motorola handheld radios would work. Radios such as the CP110, BPR40, CP185, and CP200 are all make to go a full day and sometimes more. Their battery packs depending on chemistry would also need to be replaced every 18-24 months.

Best regards.

Is kenwood walkie talkie and motorola walkie talkie on the same frequence

If you are talking about FRS radios, the answer would be yes. If you are talking about business radios, it depends on how they were programmed. Business radios have many frequencies available.
