In Windows, you can force the queue to empty from a command prompt window (or Start > Run) With Vista and Win7, right click and Run as Administrator. You can also do this by stopping the spooler service in services.msc . Run services.msc and click stop then start, Apply, and OK.

For the command prompt (or Run) type "net stop spooler" <enter> without the quotes; then type "net start spooler" <enter> (again without the quotes). Next reboot the computer. The queue should be empty after the reboot. (If you only do the first command, it can take a long coffee break before the queue resets.)

I hope this helps.

I cancelled a document while it was printing and it is still in my queue days later as deleting and it wont let me print anything else or restart that print job.

The best way to delete the print job is to turn the printer off, then disconnect the cable from the printer to the computer. Turn the printer on with the cables off, and go to your computer and delete the document, Then once it's deleted, turn the printer off again, and then hook the cable back up. Then turn the printer back on. That should do it.

Good Luck

Only prints first job - can't delete from que

Please try this approach instead:

1. Browse to Start -> Run... and type in NET STOP SPOOLER (this will stop the print spooler service)

2. Browse to your windows\system32\spool\PRINTERS\ folder. You should see files there ending in .SPL and .SHD created around the time you tried to print - delete these files.

3. Browse to Start -> Run... and type in NET START SPOOLER (this will restart the print spooler service)

4. Double click the printer icon in the lower-right corner of your taskbar to examine your print job queue and browse to View -> Refresh.

I hope this information has been helpful.

Trying to cancel a print job after it's already scrolled to printer?

Sometimes this is a right royal pain int he **** to actually do. You need to cancel from the pc that send the print job, then you might have to turn the printer off and restart it a few times. Usually just once if you leave it off for a half minute does the trick. The idea is to clear the memory or buffer.

If it will not clear on the pc then it gets annoying as you won't be able to print until it is out of the way. Cancle the job then delete it from the cue. Then try a reboot or two. If nothing else you can remove the printer from the printer menu, then reboot and add it back in. That force the OS to clear out the spooler and so on. You used to have to hunt down the print job file and manually delete it.

Printing job stopped

Have you tried deleting the print job and then reprinting the pages that you need. If this doesn't work, you could try deleting the printer and reinstalling it. Let us know how it goes and good luck!

Tried to delete printing job, shows deleting, but is locked up & I can't get it cleared. Have unplugged & turned off printer, but problem still persists.

try to reinstall your printer drivers, i have the same problem with my printer.
After you do a reinstall, restart your computer but dont use the printer yet.
after a restart, you can try a print test page.
If its ok, then you need to increase your virtual memory.

Pm me if problem continues.
Ill be happy to help :)
Thank you

Will not print

Try unplugging the USB cable from the back of the computer, not from the back off the printer. Also, try deleting the printer from/at the printer/fax page and restarting your computer so it will reinstall. In either case, when checking the printer/fax folder, make sure there is nothing pending printing. If there is, click on delete all pending printing jobs. If there is a print job pending and you can not cancell/delete this job, then you must delete the printer icon and restart your computer. Aloha!
