Can't remove infuser to clean it

There's a warning light (fixed exclamation point in triangle; cups are fixed green, not blinking, there's no reference to that situation in the manual). I tried to remove the infuser and clean it (power off) but despite my best efforts (I have strong hands) and pressing as instructed on the 2 red sideways buttons, it won't budge.

@Dane1234 - thank you. The problem turned out to be more serious. The motor was blown and needed replacing. 4 weeks into first using it (1 coffee bag used in all) it was clearly a manufacturing defect. DeLonghi however does not offer international warranty in China, where the coffee machine was purchased. As I moved to Singapore I contacted the Kenwood office, which took care of the issue, but then proceeded to charge me for the replacement part (mercifully they waived pickup, delivery and service charges). When I countered that this was clearly a case of manufacturing defect, the representative replied that "due to our Group's policy I cannot waive the cost of the parts." At this point they have not pursued payment aggressively so I will wait, but if they do I won't hesitate to bubble it up to HQ, citing EU Directive 1999/44/EC on sales of Consumer Goods: "Article 3 - Rights of the consumer

    1. The seller shall be liable to the consumer for any lack of conformity which exists at the time the goods were delivered.

    2. In the case of a lack of conformity, the consumer shall be entitled to have the goods brought into conformity free of charge by repair or replacement [...]"

    Cheers all,
    T.

Turning off the power with the button is not enough. Instead, to remove the infuser: unplug the machine, wait a few seconds, plug it in again and turn the machine on. Even though you are technically turning it on, the machine will sense it was not turned off in an ok way, so it will "properly" shut off (and unlock the infuser).

Try unplugging the machine; wait 20 seconds; plug back in and wait for the diagnostic cycle to complete. Turn off machine. Now see if the infuser can be removed. Assuming this does the trick, before reinserting the thoroughly cleaned infuser, check that the two screws that hold the infuser holder to the back plane, which become visible when the infuser is removed, are tight. These are screws with a hex head socket, so you will need a hex screwdriver to tighten them.

I took most of the coffee maker apart but I cant seem to figure out how to get the infuser out with totally dissembling the unit. Do you know where its held in place and how to get it out?

There is a red warning triangle with an exclamation mark in the centre on my machine. What does it mean?

If that light flashes, it means that the service door of your coffee machine is open.
If you can't close the service door then probably the infuser is not pushed in far enough.
Hope this helps.

There is a triangle with exclamation mark inside a circle with an arrow pointing down

This is a low tire warning light, check the air in your tires. Once the tire is at capacity and you drive on it, it will turn off.

Exclamation point in triangle blinking on dashboard

Hi, The exclamation point in triangle blinking is the "Emergency Blinker" This blinker turns on all all of the turn signal lamps at all four corners of the car. Left and Right, Front and Back. The triangle represents the European symbol for roadside emergencies. In fact on European Mercedes and other cars there is a triangle shaped reflector you can put behind the car so that other drivers know you have an emergency. THAT TRIANGLE ON YOUR DASHBOARD IS A BUTTON. PUSH IT ONCE. THE BLINKING SHOULD STOP. If you have a roadside emergency, and are broken down by the side of the rode. Push the Red Triangle and your lights will blink on and off ouTside to say, in effect "help".
Hope this helps.
Best,
Mark

Won't print, orange triangle with exclamation point

This triangle light blinking indicates that a door is open. Open the front access door completely. Close the front access door completely. Open the rear door and close it.

If this didn't fix it refer to this guide for all errors you get with this printer from HP website.
