The DX-WGDTC adapter is not compatible with Windows Vista. It was designed to work with Windows 98 through Windows XP. However, you can try to use it with a Windows Vista system. What will happen a lot of times is that the router will provide basic functionality but it may display some quirks, or it may drop the connection occasionally.

You can get a decent Wireless-G adapter for $30 or so, so you're probably better off just buying a Vista-compatible adapter, but if you already have this one, might as well see if it will work!

The DX-WGDTC is really a Atheros AR5005G, simply find the driver and install it... works for win7 32-bit/64-bit. Took me a while to find out, funny thing is that win 7 tells you its a Atheros AR5005 just that i didn't pay attention to the message lol.

Need driver for dynewx dx-ebusb for Windows 7

Hello,

According to the dynex web site, this adapter is only compatible with Windows vista and earlier. There is no mention of compatibility with Windows 7 however you can try using the software install from the dynex website. Try running the install and if it does not start, try running it in Windows Vista SP 2 compatibility mode.

Thanks,

Pat

I want to install a Dynex wireless adapter

No such thing as a generic driver for a wireless card. That card uses a Broadcom bcm4318kfbg chipset, so you may be able to get a driver from the Broadcom site. If not, go shopping for a card that supports win98.....sorry.

Hope this helps!

Is there a way to run a Dynex DX-UC104 with vista.

Sounds like you need to make sure your chipset drivers are up to date and all service packs are installed.
Ther is no reason it will not work in vista as it works in windows 7 64bit.So visit your motherboard site to get bios updates and driver updates, then update all through windows update and try to reinstall.
Windows should install a driver for vista.

this is a link for non vista

DX-UBDB9 Driver

I have the answer on how to get this to work.
First follow the instruction on this web site (http://www.security-hacks.com/2007/05/07/vista-disable-driver-signing-verification-in-64-bit) on how to turn off driver signing verification.

Second download the vista driver from http://www.cooldrives.com/wividrforprc.html and install it.

It worked under Vista and Windows 7.
