During my shower the pump appears to have stopped working and nothing will drain. There is no water coming out of the tank but I am afraid to flush the toilet for fear of an overflow

it might be nice if you describe your system in detail. nobody knows what pump or kind of pump you have do they? we try not to assume anything and details are important.

Hi... I just bought Electrolux Dishwasher ESF2433W. When i first time turn it on, light at "Normal" button keep on flashing with beeping sound. After checking the trouble shooting manual, it actually refer...

E4 Overflow

Sometimes during trasport it is possible that styrofoam float mechanicaly activated overflow microswitch. So, you should check complitely overflow system.

At any time, if overflow micro-switch act and keep for longer than 2 seconds, the E4 would occur. When E4 occurs, the drain pump will run until flowmeter keep motionless for 2 minutes (if the model with the pressure switch (83/63),drain pump would run till the pressure switch reset and continue draining for 60 seconds.) and all the other components will be stopped immediately. At the same time, the buzzer will alarm for 30 seconds and error 4 will be shown. Note: Priority level of E4 is the highest. E4 operation is valid after other error operations have done. When E4 operation has done, all the others are invalid.

Can the pool overflow from rain?

A pool will over flow in the rain, the pool pump is only for circulating water not for draining overflow , you can go to a local pool supply and buy a pump to hook to a garden hose and drain it partially, be aware that the pump runs on electric power and you want to be careful not to drain the pool below the skimmer level or you will end up replacing the pool pump motor

It's usually the thermostat, I woud pressure test the cap. It may need to be flushed. Are the fans working? Is there a 50/50 mix of anti-freeze

My car is leaking water and yesterday it shut down on me when i stopped. sometimes it over heats. what is it?

chances are you water pump is bad or you may have a leaking coolant hose most of the time its your water pump there not bad to replace your self if you have some simple car know-how and tools but if your not the car fixer take it to a shop but stay away from dealerships and make sure the shop can garenttee the work at a good price.

My car is rumming hot and the antifreeze is leaking I'm thinking it's my water pump

It could be the water pump , or something else , like a faulty thermostat. Where is the coolant leaking from ? If it is leaking from the water pump , then yes , your pump might be toast.
If the thermostat is no good , the engine will warm up to normal temp , and then overheat quite quickly. As it overheats and the coolant expands and boils , it could back up into the overflow reservoir and leak out onto the ground. You need to get someone to diagnose the problem ASAP , running your engine in an overheat condition could very quickly blow your head gasket and/or warp a cylinder head. If you can , please post a bit more info. Does it run but at a higher than normal temp. Does it only overheat when stopped in traffic etc.
Could be water pump , or thermostat , or plugged up radiator , or nonfunctioning cooling fans.

2000 caravan over heatingand leaks from overflow (Ithink). Is there an overflow tube on this model??

did u check the themostat? if that is good do a water pump flow test to make sure the pump is pumping do this test when the engine is cold. if not do a radiator flow test to see how the water flows through radiator with gravity alone
