SOURCE: Removing dust

Yes.. First of all you are entitled to open the case only if your lapotop is not covered by any means warranty.. If you open it when it has a warranty, the warranty becomes void.. and moreover there are many complications n opening it.. so i suggest you to give it to a system engineer.. but if u want to do it by urself.. i shalll tell u the steps.. mail me..

SOURCE: I need to replace a

Remove the ac power adaptor from the laptop and the battery too. Turn it upside down (with the screen at the table). A good idea is to place a cloth in order not to scratch the outer cover of the screen. Unscrew all the screws at the bottom cover. Usually the are small philips screws. Take care, sometimes they aren't all the same length, so place them in an order or mark them. They are some separate covers for hard disk, memories etc. Slide them out to remove. Remove the screws from the hard disk holder. Remove the hard disk. Open slowly the rest of the cover. Take care in case of slide switches. You will be able to locate the fan just as you open the bottom case. Usually you have to unscrew 3 screws and remove the power connector with 3 cables to eject it. Replace it and follow the reverse steps to put things together. When you just start up the laptop take care to be sure that the fun is working properly. Otherwise you may destroy the CPU.

Toshiba Satellite Laptop M205-S4805 gets overheated and shuts down

Hi
This can happen when the air vents are blocked by dust or similar particles, it can also occur if the fan is not running to the full capacity. The best you can do is to seek an expert advice as trying to open the casing without proper knowledge has a risk of damaging the system.
Regards.
