You can get a manual here:

Did you set the boot sequense in your bios ??

First your CD or DVD drive
Second you harddrive.

Harddrive must be in sata 0.
CD or DVD must be in sata 1.

Or look in the manual how the settings should be.

Good luck.

Wont recognize ide drive on startup

When you boot,go into the bios. In the main section see if your drive is listed.
If not, turn off machine, open unit, check power and data cables
Harddrive are blue data cables. Also check to see if HD is slave or master. Jumper switches on HD. Clse unit and boot up into bios
in the main you should see you HD
in boot sequence.. see if you c:/ is in the list
bios will tell you how to put in list if not there
close and reboot

Does not recognize HDD was working fine then died. reset RAM and HDD no luck

sounds like a bad hard drive, did it make any noise before it died? if so probally a head issue. if the bios sees it you can try a format and reinstall if not you will need a new harddrive. if the bios cant see it no use in trying format it wont work. you have to physically replace the drive. you may or may not be able to go bigger on the hd depending on the bios ability to reconize the hd. there are programs for the hd from the mfg. that will overcome this limit and they work up to a point.

Would a SCSI disk and a IDE disk work together?

This solution works on WIN98 and I don?t see a reason why it wont work on you If there is something that you were missing you might want to check with anther expert. This solution is a little complex so I hope ill be able to explain it well enough: 1. Make a boot disk so u can format and install windows. 2. Define the new HD as MASTER and hook it up to "primary IDE" 3. Disconnect the SCSI and pull the board out. 4. Reset the comp from the boot disk u made (HD is connected) 5. Get in "bios settings" and make sure that the new HD is defined as "primary drive" In the 1st IDE 6. Now, perform a FDisk on the new HD, define partitions, do a reset and format the HD Install the operating system you wish to have, make sure it works well. 7. install the SCSI board and its HD make anther reset. 8. now the comp is supposed to make boot and recognize the SCSI, it is possible that you will need to define your system configurations but for that, regretfully, I cannot guide you Although this is not necessarily have to happen. Good luck
