Steamer hose leaks

It seems like the steamer hose is leaking inside the casing. Is this a common problem? And, does anyone know how to fix this?

If it is at the connection, then the O-rings in the valve need to be replaced.

Water leaking from hose inside washing machine casing

It is so common that the drain leaks in many ways and is the most problematic fault in a washing machine. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If you have noticed that water has leaked then as the drain hose pump/valve and fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for possible leaks here. In some cases the drain hose would be clogged at the drain end to outlet of the house and so there will be back flushing resulting in overflow to the outside. Also the drain pump/valve can be clogged or the drain hose clamps can be loose on the grip which can all cause the leak to occur. Removing and cleaning the drain pump/valve, tightening of the hose is also very important. Also water can leak if there are gaps on the front door gaskets and must be checked but this will happen only during the cycle and not on the drain cycle end.

Water is leaking from bottom of unit, getting worse everyday

Probably the hosse from the boiler inside the unit. Mine has sprung a leak too and on opening up the top of the unit the hose had sprung a leak within an inch of the steamer line it is connected to. Trouble is getting the hose. I cant find one in Canada where i am, but there is availability at http://www.shop.partsguru.com/16000190-Silicone-hose-each-High-temp-braided-16000190.htm Trouble is how long before the problem redevelops? I tried another hose, but it got way too hot that i didnt trust it and you could see a steam bubble sitting right where the original hose leaked, so it makes me think that is why the original hose leaked.

The power steering resoivoir drains out after 1-2 hours

Hi:

Check to see if you have a Power Steering hose leak ,Open Hood and Have someone inside turing Steering wheel back and Forth slow. While you have a Light and Locate your Leak.

Power Steering System is a Sealed System, Sounds like you have a Hole in 1-of your Power Steering Fluid Lines(Pressure) More that likely. or Return line.

If its leaking at the Pump where your hoses go in it might just be a Rubber Seal. But the most common problem is a Hose is Busted Open.

My power steering is leaking and i dont know what part is leaking, what is the most common part to leak from power steering? and how much would it cost me to get it fixed?

Common part to leak is the high side power steering hose from the pump to the steering rack or steering box. You can replace the hose your self with common tools and you can pick up the hose at Auto Zone with instructions to get the job done your self.

I could go further but i don't know what type of car you have, but you can log on to Auto Zone.com for the price of the hose you need and the instructions free of charge.

Thank you for using Fixya and good luck.

We think the seal underneath the machine is leaking, is this hard to fix?

If this is a top load washer it is probably no the seal more likely one of the hoses either the fill hose or the drain hose ineither case this are not that hard to fix. If it is a maytag newer style there is a common leaking problem upon filling and it is usually the fill line that is leaking.

Leaking water from the bottom. Whirlepool Ultimate care

Most leaks on this model washer come form a worn or damaged drain pump, or drain hoses. You will need to remove the exterior case to access the washer interior to sufficiently inspect the washer components to be sure, however. The following link explains:

Leaking from behind?

If the leak is coming from the back of the washer, the problem may be attributed to either a leaking water inlet valve, or the associated internal hoses that run from the valve to the dispenser. The following link explains how to access the inside of the washer and/or replace the valve (if required):

http://www.fixya.com/support/r600647-replacing_water_inlet_valve_kenmore

If the leak is coming from under the front of the washer, the problem may be the drain pump. These pumps can develop cracks and start leaking. they are non-serviceable and will require replacing is defective. The following link explains how: http://www.fixya.com/support/r397092-replacing_water_pump Inspect all internal hoses and hose connections as well. There are two drain hoses on the water pump, and several small hoses near the water inlet valve. These hoses can develop leaks over time. If the leak appears to be coming from the bottom of the wash tub, you may have a leaking tub seal, or cracked wash tub (worst case scenario). You will see tell-tale signs of water marks on the gearcase (transmission) if this were the case. On the lower right hand side of the wash tub is an air dome with a small rubber air hoses attached. Make sure this hose is still attached and has no leaks. The air hose can slip off the nipple it is attached to and water will begin to pour out of the washer when it starts to fill. This will be an "attention-getting" leak as water will gush everywhere. Double check the air hose just in case. If parts are required, you can purchase from any of the following websites:

searspartsdirect.com
appliancepartspros.com
pcappliancerepair.com
repairclinic.com

All these sites offer great service with competitive pricing, so shop all of them for the best deals.

Conair steamer leaks water and wets my clothes.

When I use mine I hang the hand held part from my closet door, while I am waiting for it to heat up. When the hose gets too much condensation, from the steam, it leaks out... This will also happen if you try to use in the motion of an iron. The hand held part needs to be at a vertical position at all time to prevent leaking.

A lake of water

anyone else w/ this problem: cheap workmanship = cheap, malfunctioning machine. turn it upside down, unscrew the 4 screws w/ metal washers and the six screws with out washers from the base of the housing. once removed, you can see that cheap metal clamps are used around the plastic hoses which supply water from resevoir to steamer & brewhead via the pump. either length of hose above pump or below pump has come loose or pump is fauly or there is a hole in a tube. good luck!
