Question about Audio Players & Recorders
In these players the battery is a Lithium-ion polymer type and is build inside the player, it is most likely soldered to the board of the player or with a small connector for simple replacement.
So how to replace it:
1. The unit needs to be taken apart - this completely voids the warranty if existed, if you are in warranty consider contacting the company instead
2. old battery needs to be either de soldered from the board or just disconnected.
3. take the markings ( text / model ) from the battery and order a replacement online, for example www.ebay.com or send me the details and I'll look for one.
4. put the new battery on the olds place and reassemble the unit.
I found a video showing how this is done on another model here http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-replace-the-battery-in-your-iriver-h320-or-h340
Generally for taking apart such a device, you need small philips screw driver, a flat head, or possibly torx screw drivers. A plastic stick or a case opening tool will come in handy. As The case of the product will be held in place with plastic clips after the screws are out.
