If you have an amp in your system, I would check the preamp connections, as well as the +12V power, remote, and ground connections to the amp. It's possible the amp is not turning on or the RCA preamp wires got disconnected.

If there is no amp involved, the connector that connects the speaker wires to the head unit may be loose or some sort of "mute" may have been inadvertently enabled.

I have a keenwood indash dvd player i want to hook my amp to it but it dont have rca jacks so how do i do it

If your indash radio does not have RCA outputs, you can do two things. You can purchase a line level converter and hook it to one of the rear speakers. This will allow you to tap into the speaker wire, then convert the signal to RCA. Then you plug your RCA cables in there. The other (my recommendation) is to purchase an "add an amp" wiring harness. This harness will install between your radio and vehicle harnesses. It will have RCA output and remote wire. Then you run those back to your amp and there you go. You can find these at the scosche or PAC websites. You can also try www.crutchfield.com

Why does my x ovision indash dvd player says caution do not watch while driving when I play I dvd? And is doesn't play the video it just stays frozen on the caution sign but I can hear the sound but...

i had this same exact radio installed in my avalanche before switching over to a different brand, there is a ground wire that should be labled parking brake, that you can just ground to the frame, and then you will be able to see your videos and not just hear them. I believe its a black or black and grey wire. but i know this will fix your problem. just carefully ground out your wires one by one till the video plays and you will have found the culprit wire.

SURROND SOUND

i would suggest alpines new 5 channel suround amplifier that has dolby 5.1 decoding and you will also have to have a head unit that supports 5.1 surround sound which as far as i could tell are only indash dvd players you will also need to purchase a center channel speaker as well
you can follow this link to the alpine amp
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500MRAF350/Alpine-MRA-F350.html?tp=115

hope this helps

sincerely

This thing skips badly, even with a new dvd or cd in it. Please help.

Jensen used to be total junk, but over the years they decided to invest in their junk somewhat. If it plays fine when sitting still then I say dont listen to it and drive at the same time... or buy a better unit. srry...

My indash jensen radio keeps shutting down when turned up?

Sounds like there's a power problem. First take out the radio and leave it connected. Turn on the radio normal volume, then disconnect the radio's antenna. If the radio shuts off then you need a better ground. If the radio doesn't shut off then you need to run power wires to the fuse box.
The only other thing is you have a bad speaker that only shorts out when you turn it up. Disconnect all but one speaker or one speaker at a time and see which one is the problem.
