Question about HP Officejet 6310 All-In-One InkJet Printer
The paper is drawn into the printer unevenly causing it to jam before actually loading. The print is slanting downward from left to right. Sometimes the printer draws the paper back in after it is printed causing another jam. When the feed and release features are working, the printer is fine.
It sounds like the roller in the back, clean it with a soft rag with a little bit of alcohol. I had the same problem and ended up throwing it away and bought a Kodak 5300. Did you try going to HP solutions center? Good luck.

does the printhead run smoothly to the left side of the printer when it is powered on?
If the printhead cant run that freely, it will give you the paperjam message. You have to dismantle the printer again, connect the scanner and cables again when top cover is removed. Press the scanner open contact (opposite to the menu button) and watch the printhead run to the left side. It might be that either the printhead stucks somewhere on its way (press the cover of the printhead. It might be the reason) or the guide rail hinders the printhead to move.
