In the main menu of the Wii, with all the channels, "click Wii Options" Then go to "Wii Settings" Click on the right arrow and choose internet. Enter your PIN number then choose "OK" Then choose "Connection Settings" Then choose an unused connection. Then, if your connection's wireless, choose either "Access Point" or "Wi-Fi" Then choose your connection. If connection is secured, enter password and choose "OK" Then choose "Use this connection"
If connection is wired, choose "OK" Then choose "Use this connection"
Your Wii console should be connected to the internet.

If you are having trouble getting on the internet it is possible that you are not getting a good connection to your Wii.

To better help you I need to know how you are connecting you Wii to the Internet. Are you using the wireless or are you using an ethernet cable. Also are you connecting through a router or plugging directly in to you modem.

Please let me know the make and models of any hardware that you are using. Also let me know what type of Internet connection you have IE DSL or Cable.

My wii will not connect to the internet

Hi,

Please click here to read my tech article on how to connect your Wii to the internet. It will go over the configuration steps in order to get your Wii up and online!

If you have already done this, and still have trouble, verify your internet is up and running. You can do this easily on your computer by visiting websites. If your internet is fine, try power cycling your equipment in this order
Turn off your modem, router and Wii. After 10 seconds turn on your Wii, after 30 seconds turn on your router and after 30 seconds turn on your Wii. Try to connect online.

If you are still having trouble, do you get an error now? You may want to reach out to Nintendo support for additional help. Phone 1-800-255-3700

Can you connect your android to the wii console through usb for an access point for internet

Wii to Android? Nope. The Wii doesn't have internet connection sharing.

Android to Wii? Possibly, using an app called Easy Tether for the Android and additional hardware. The app has a Free/Lite version and a Paid for version ($10).

The entire process of getting it to connect is outlined here:
http://techforums.nintendo.com/message/5501

Of course all of this seems like more trouble than it's worth; once you get online, the Wii isn't exactly known for it's amazing online capabilities... but that might just be my opinion.

Having trouble connecting to the internet with my wii?

I had trouble initially due to my wireless router. Once I hit the re-set button on the back of the router and re-searched for connection it worked ok.

    Connecting to internet

if you really can't connect, try to start setting up again the internet settings/connection from scratch.make sure your router is working fine and you haven't changed anything on it including firmware upgrades.your router setting must be such that it's allowed to accept your wii to connect.if your router has either wep or wpa password, this should be the same one you need to key in on your wii internet setting.say you have wpa, most likely you need to select wpa (AES) on your wii internet setting.finish the wii internet set-up,your wii should be able to scan your router's ssid and connect to it.no guarantees, hope this helps.
