Red light flashing, and how to reset to standby ?

red flashing light usually means that the receiver is in protection mode and it has a hardware problem like burned channel or bad power supply or thermal protection, etc. For some receivers/models (you didn't mention your model) you can override this protection but the receiver can get more damages. So, better to bring it to a service center for diagnosing /repair. Thanks, ebcelectronics

The power light is blinking red and the V will not turn on.

Power light blinking red indicates tv got internal problem and went on protection mode.
Please count how many times red light blinks after 3 seconds long pause as it is an error code that has info about defective section in tv and will help me to suggest any solution to fix the issue.
Thanks.

What does the red and green light mean ???

red and green light? there is most likely a protection and a power light. The red I assume would either be a protection light or a clipping light signal. Does the amp kick off then these lights kick on red then to green?

My A8000t amps red protection light is on checked

When ever the amp stays in RED protection mode with out any speakers hooked up to it, YOUR amp has internal damage some where. Can't tell you how much to fix, Could be cheap or not worth it. Talk to your local electronic repair, would be a good start.

The saftey red light keeps coming on

It means that the subwoofer is blown. The red light is called the Protect light. Disconnect the speaker wire from the amp and then turn the amp on and see if the red light goes away. But if as soon as you hook the speaker wires back to the amp and the red light turns on that DEFINATELY means the sub is blown.

I have an older red sony xplod 500w 4ch amp. the power/protection light is glowing red. what does that mean and how do i fix it? I have no sound.

The protection light comes on if the amp overheats or if the speaker outputs are shorted.

Turn everything off and check all of your speaker wires for shorts. When you locate and repair the short, the protection light should go out and your amp will work normally again.

Hope this helps!

My sony xplod 1000w xm-1652z doesnt work anymore

First off, according to the manual, the protect light should be green. That's normal operation. If it is red, that's a problem.

If it does go red, disconnect all of the wiring to the amp except the +12V and ground. Short the remote connection to the +12V to force the amp on. If the protect light still lights red, the issue is inside the amp and will need repair. If the issue goes away, try reconnecting one wire at a time until the protect light goes red again.
