You need to balance the tone arm, do this by setting the tone arm weight to zero. Then screw the tone arm back so that it is perfectly balanced (the tone arm is leveled and completely parallel to the turntable, do this without a vinyl on the turntable). Then mark this as zero on the weight measurer. Then put a vinyl on the turntable and slowly turn the weight to the specified weight for the needle. If not know use somewhere between 2.5 or 3 which are usually average you should be able by the difference in sounds frequencies, which weight pressure sounds the best. After this set the anti-skate corresponding to the weight of the tonearm.

If your a heavy turntablists or plan on using your 1200 for DJing, set the anti-skate to ZERO. If your just using this turntable to play vinyl, with not backcueing features, then set the anti-skate to the same setting as your balance weight.

If your needle still skips, the problem might be a worn needle, damaged tonearm, or improperly set balance weight.

CLICK HERE for instructions on balancing your tonearm for DJ use. If after all this your tonearm still skips, replace the cartridge/stylus. If it still skips, then the problem is with your tonearm and will need to be replaced.

There are two main things that will influence the anti skate settings.

1) The Headshell Weight and Balance
Firstly, check the data sheet for the cartridge and stylus you are using. It should tell you the correct weight setting which will vary from one cartridge and stylus to another. If the stylus is set too light, it can skate across the disc. This can damage the disc and the stylus. The sound will also be thin and it is likely to distort on high frequencies. If the weight is too heavy, it will not jump but will definitely damage the disc.

If you are a serious vinyl user, get yourself a tone arm balance. This is a device that you place on the turntable and you rest the stylus on a plate which is marked in micrograms. You place the stylus exactly at the correct weight marking and then make adjustments to the turntable settings until the tone arm is balanced. It's easier than it sounds!

If you don't have the data sheet for your cartridge and stylus and cannot find it online, use an old disc that you don't mind damaging, set the weight on the light side and gradually increase the weight until it stops skating.

2) Platter Levelling
Secondly, you need to make sure your turntable us on a level surface. If you are a purist, use a spirit level. to do this.

There are other things that can cause skating and jumping, especially if you use the turntable as a DJ. For example, vibration (caused hopefully by dozens rocking to your music). DJs will often increase the headshell weight very slightly to overcome this and I have sometimes placed the turntables on a thick rubber sheet such as carpet underlay to improve shock absorption.

What is sketching?

Artists often sketch out their thoughts for a painting before actually painting it. Sketch sets have paper, pencils, colors and other items such as pastels, and charcoal that one would need for sketching purposes. A sketch is the first step you need to do before you start painting.

How can i go to facebook at school

your school probably has a firewall set up to block certain sites.
You would need to set up a proxy server to get around this.

I would look to google app engine since it requires little technical knowledge.

You can read how to set it up here.

ONLY A NARROW IMAGE OF A 'SKETCH-UP' WILL PRINT ACROSS THE MIDDLE OF THE PAPER, WHEN I WOULD LIKE A FULL PAGE (BOARDERLESS) IN LANDSCAPE ORIENTATION. WHAT SETTING AM I MISSING?

Before printing, configure the page setup on the application where you're printing from. Go to File -> Page Setup -> select Landscape orientation -> hit OK to save the setting.
To print your sketch, go to File -> Print -> Preferences/Properties -> from the Page Setup tab, select Landscape orientation -> from the Print Layout tab, select Borderless -> click OK to save the settings -> click OK to start printing.

My technic 1200 mk2 skips records, i tried other needles and adjusted tone arm. Even tried pennies on cartridge

Ensure that the turntable is sitting as flat as possible and does not allow any external vibration to penetrate.
Also try operating it without a record on it make sure that the plate is turning smoothly without interruption and also does not have any vibration.

Sounds like it has a vibrato micro seiki dd 25

Hi, first thing you need to do is check your strobe lights , if you look near your power on/off you should notice a little guide with +6 0 -3.33 etc, set your pitch to 0 for instanceand watch the platter by the light on the on off switch, the big dots on the plater should stay stationary whilst the smaller dots above it and below it move around it, if the big dots don't stay still it may well be a problem with your pitch control,, these arent too hard to replace and arent that expensive
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRE6LvWrhbs
Is difficult for me to say without looking at them
But if it seems like your decks are holding pitch then it might be somthing more complicated and you might need to take it to your local technics repair centre, you can find this by typing in the name of your town / city and technics service/repair
Bare in mind that you can get a kind of warble when you leave the pitch fader really close to zero but not quite on zero and it wil flicker between 0 and +1
A useful resource is http://www.turntabletech.com/ have done a few services myself of info off this site
last thing dont get ripped off by the service centre, i.e paying £300 to repair a technics probs aint worth it when you could buy a refurb one for less.
Good luck
