Press the Flash button (left on the cursorpad, marked with a lightning bolt icon). Each press of the Flash button cycles through the various modes. You want the Fill mode, indicated by an unadorned lightning bolt.

In my copy of the manual, it's on page 30.

You can't. The samsung l100 detects light quality. yes cou can swith the flash on like K said but if there is to much light , there will be no flash as thisn saves battery life and not allowing the flash to over work :)

How do i restore the 'flash' back on the camera for when i take pictures?

Presumably the same way you turned it off. Press left on the controller (marked with a lightning bolt) repeatedly to cycle through the various flash modes. Auto flash mode is indicated by a lightning bolt with the letter "A".

Pages 30-31 in my edition of the manual.

How do you make the flash turn on and stay on for a samsung l100

You don't. The flash is intended for still photography only, emitting a very brief burst of light. If you want additional light for videos, you'll need a separate llight source.

My Samsung L100 Camera doesn't know how to flash once!

Most cameras flash twice; the first one is for setting the exposure, the second one is for real. About the best you can do is warn your targets that the camera is going to flash twice.

Yes, the L100 has a self-timer. Press Right on the selector (the clock icon) until the desired mode indicator appears on the display. Your choices are 10-second delay, 2-second delay, double self-timer, and motion timer.

The self-timer is described on pages 29-30 in my copy of the manual.

Dont know how to turn flash off on a samsung l100 camera.

Press the button with the lightning bolt icon and watch the screen. When you see a lightning bolt with a line through it, the flash is off.

I need to know how to put self timer on an L100 Samsung Camera

There is the oclock icon on the round thing that called the dial control. The flash, flower, oclock, etc icons are on the dial control. The selftime icon looks like a oclock face.
Hit it one or more than one times and the icon will appear on LCD, so your done.
Should set the selftime at higher ( 10 second some like that ) that for you have time to be in the picture.

While taking pictures, but no flash and unable to take pictures

Do you have the auto flash icon on? Or red eye reduction? My advice is press left on the D-pad until you get a flash icon. If not, posibly a fault.

I had the same problem, called Samsung and they sent me a shipping label via email. I sent to their repair 12/15/08 and got the fixed camera today, 12/18/08. Very quick service - they replaced the lens. Camera now flashes.

u might want to try and put a coffee filter over your flash when you take pictures to make the flash less bright. it sounds really silly but it actually works.
