Hi,
Before going to by a new one just try to do the following
First of all try to reset the lamp hour of your projector. For resetting the lamp hour do the following.
Make sure the main power switch is OFF. Hold the "ON","MENU", and "INPUT" buttons at the same time and turn the main power switch on. Keep them held until the yellow power standby light comes on,
Otherwise Check the lamp cooling fan of your projector. maybe its has some problem.Do one thing, Remove the fan from the projector. In the fan there will be a specification sticker. Remove the sicker. now u can see a hole in the center. its the bearing part of the fan. put one drop of oil in it. u can use any type of lubricating oil. rotate the fan leafs with finger for some time. after that re-stick the spec sticker. insert the fan in the projector. power ON the projecto and watch. ok
ghosting or convergance issue is what u have. if the image is in diff colors then deff a convergence issue. however, if the image isthe same color or shaded from the original then this is ghosting. this may be corrected through the menu settings(sinc settings).
I had exactly the same problem with the same projector. I took the whole thing apart last night, including all PCB boards the lot. After a lot of searching I found nothing untoward. Finally after figuring out how to put the thing back togther again, ready to accept defeat I noticed the micro-switch on the lamp replacement cover. It turns out that the little plastic striker moulded to the lamp replacement cover was deformed/warped (possibly by heat?) and eventually it must have got to the point of not switching the micro-switch into the closed safe position. (I assume it there so that you can not power up the unit whilst the lamp cover is off, which would make sense) With the power effectively on and being very careful, I manually depressed the micro switch (with something plastic) the projector jumped into life! Of course I can not recommend anyone does this as it is probably not safe , but neither is having to pay a shed load for a service just for a **** plastic cover replacement. Long story short it fixed the issue. Hope this helps someone and saves them tearing their unit apart.
hi there,
I have just done the exact same thing today. Press menu button on projector. Scroll (navigate) to the mirror option. This give you the options to mirror image left to right or up and down.
This should fix any of your problems.
Cheers
Luke
I bought mine new... hooked it up and got the same response. I would have torn my hair out but I am bald! Checked everything. Great frustration. Finally, I thought to replace the cable with one I have on my monitor. Worked perfectly! A brand new cable and it was faulty! Contacted the company and they sent out a new one. Even sent a packet to ship my bad one back so they could find out what happened. No connection problems with the new cable.
