SOURCE: setting clock on older VRDVD4001AC

According to the manual, to set the standard time, you should press VCR MENU, then SET + OR - to select System Setup. Press ENTER. Press SET+ OR - again and then choose STANDARD TIME followed by ENTER to set your own time zone. Press SET + OR - one more time to select your time zone, and then again press ENTER. To return, press VCR MENU twice.

Just a note: The unit is set to AUTO CLOCK when it is shipped. If you leave it this way, the clock will set itself after you plug in the unit provided you do not press POWER for at least three minutes when you first plug it in. Also, your cable box or antenna must be attached in order for it to find the time.

Fault to the main power supply regulator section. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market

I'm trying to program a replacement remote for my unit. I need the user manual for Sansui VRDVD4000B.

Sansui models like yours usually have a free customer service phone number on the back of the unit. Call them and ask about a manual and the original remote. What have you got to lose?

May this be helpful to you. Bobya.

Sansui vrdvd5000 no manual no remote anyone know how to record vhs to dvd

I believe the VRDVD4005 manual (which is the same as the VRDVD5000) is available on a Sears sponsered website called managemylife.com. I hope this helps you. The customer service number should be on the back of the unit to order a remote.
