Sansa View "Bad Track"

I haven't used my Sansa View 8GB in awhile. It's charged. I just turned it on and every, single track on it comes up with a "Bad Track" error. Any ideas?

it started working for me well, when all of a sudden my fave songs started appearing as "bad track" . I hate it! It annoys me. If it is a bad track and then how come when i sycronize my songs , it doesn't notify that it is a bad track. How do I deal with this bad track issue? Can i delete them, because i am not able to?

I had the same problem on mine but then when I opened the files on the small folder it shows there was this lock icon and then I realized that all the songs that have that lock say bad track. I used a different song download limewire and now all the songs work fine

have you consulted customer service on this? It sounds to me like it might be a drm issue, where drm is a form of licensing that stop you playing files without the license. If it is that kind of problem Sansa should recognise it straight away and then you'll know what to do. in the meantime you could try doing a reset as per the instructions that came with the player or go to the website and download the manual.

Bad track and Battery

Make sure the hold switch is not engaged.
Remove the songs from the player and then reload them. If they are froma subscription service, make sure they do not have fixed-term licenses on them. Right-click song --> Properties --> digital rights or media usage rights
Use Windows Media Player to view the songs that are stored on your mp3 player - best to view them in the "Sync" tab. Find the song that you want to delete, right-click the song, and select Delete (or left-click and press Delete on your keyboard). Voila!

Bad Track and No Files Message

Yeah, I have that "Bad Track" problem for some my tracks or even for entire albums. The only thing I can think of that would cause that is if you skip over the track consistantly. Anyway, the best solution I've found for that is to go to Windows Media Player, delete the track, and then put it back on if you have it backed up on your computer. P.S.: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE SONG BACKED UP ON YOUR COMPUTER BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT THIS. If that doesn't work, you should find another way to get the song. Unfortunately, I can't help you with the "No Files" problem since I haven't experienced that.
