    Thanks !!

Let me explain the problem.I am sure, you must have Checked for Bad Caps on Power Supply Board. If not, Kindly Check the same.

Now,Regarding this Model. This Model is Popular for No Sound No Picture Problem. It is most due to Y and Z Sustain Board.

Normally the parts for this unit is a kit Y-SUSTAIN BOARD and Z-SUSTAIN BOARD, this is how most manufacturers would want you to do but you can check for open fuses on the y and z boards yourself and get lucky and find the bad board, also measure your VS and VA and V SCAN voltages make sure they are coming out of your power supply. It is possible for having a bad FET some were. What they should be is labeled inside of the panel VS 140v VE 60v and VSCAN -190v. Your VS voltages are carried by the Y board which is on the left side and VE carried by the Z board on the right which ever is missing by measuring the plug at the power supply is your bad board. You can also disconnect from the power supply one at a time to see if you get any changes, the bad board would cause a different situation when powered on. Also remember there are driver boards connected to the Y board they have chips on it look closely at the chips sometimes they blow up and they will have small pin size holes in them.

I just got an answer fom Taran 2005 regarding my shorted thermistor. it was very helpful. However, he did not answer the last part of my question, which was... will the heater turn off at the preset...

Sorry but to get Taran 2005 to answer your question simply go to your previous question and add a comment. It is very unlikely he will see the new question.
Simply open the solution he provided before and click on add comment that will get to him and he would give you an answer.
But if your solar sensor is faulty the unit will keep running and not turn of at the preset temperature unless the unit has a backup sensor for turning off the unit as most units do have. To be absolutely sure leave the unit on for the same period of time as it would take to turn of usually and see if it automatically turns off. If not then you got your answer.
Hope this support has been helpful?

No picture or sound. Power board led flashing in sequence of 12. Says D12V on legend.

For what it's worth, you can download the official Sanyo repair manual for this TV (DP42746) at http://www.eserviceinfo.com/downloadsm/43343/sanyo_dp42746.html. It might give you some insight you need especially directing you towards the D12V. Hope this helps

Last night I was being helped by taran-2005. I have one more question for him. Is it possible to get connected to him now?

I haven't tried to reverse engineer something like this BUT, if you go into one of your last night posts and solutions you may be able to click of "taran-2005" Avatar icon and be carried to the persons profile or at least send the person a message. Now I'm going to have to try it myself Cheers hope it works for your Happy New Year
