Generally insufficient light, but the light sensor could also be bad and will also do this. If that's the case, you have to replace the main component board more often than the sensor itself. If possible, it's better to replace the camera under warranty.

I have smasung digimax 4010, I have a 4gb memory card and when I put it in, the light flashes continuously and the Samsung logo is on the screen but thats all. What do I need to do???

You need to get an SD card. The 4010 works with SD and MMC cards. Your 4GB card is an SDHC card. While it fits into the slot it's electronically incompatible and will not work in the 4010. You need an SD card, 2GB and smaller.

I have a digimax 4010. Do I get a 2mg sd card? What is the diference between a sd card and a sdhc

SDHC is an extension of the SD standard that extends the capacity from 2GB to 32GB. It's backward compatible in that devices designed for SDHC cards will also work with SD cards. It does not go the other way---that is, SDHC cards will not work in devices designed for SD cards.

I presume you mean a 2GB card, since a 2MB card might hold one picture.
The Digimax 4010 works with SD cards, not SDHC cards. You may use an SD card. Just make sure it is an SD card, 2GB and smaller. SDHC cards start at 4GB and go up to 32GB but, as stated earlier, will not work in the 4010.

I need to get an operator's manuel.

At the website www.samsungcamera.com site you can download the manual and the driver for the Samsung Digimax 401 and the Digimax 4010 which are the same camera.

To get there go to the site and click on SUPPORT then at the bottom of page select page number 9 or in SEARCH type in 401 which will take you to the Digimax 401. DON'T FORGET THE DIGIMAX MODELS 401 AND 4010 ARE THE SAME. I proved it since I compared my 4010 manual to the PDF for 401 and page per page identical. You will have to select a language for the manual and assume also for the camera driver. I found that the Samsung site was not user friendly when I first used it looking for the 4010 model which is not listed but the 401 is there.

Hope this helps.

Blinking green light

I believe it does that when there is insufficient light to take the picture, but if it's doing it everywhere then your light sensor in the camera may be malfunctioning. Try pointing the camera at something and then hold the button down light your taking a picture for 15 sec. - Some cameras this overrides the light sensor.

Samsung 4010 camera wont accept a 4g sd card

The camera will only accept true SD cards i.e. up to 2Gb. Your 4Gb card will be an SDHC which is not compatible. See here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sd_card#Compatibility_issues_with_2_GB_and_larger_cards for further explanation.

How to video on my camera

twist the options wheel around to select the little icon that looks like a movie camera (directly across from the green camera). When you want to start filming, just click the shutter button (the one u press when ur taking pictures). The time recording will pop up on the display screen and it will show you how long you've been recording. To discontinue filming just hit the shutter button again.
