Question about Microsoft Works 8.0 for PC

Open Question

I'm using Works database to keep track of monthly totals and I'm trying to print out a form that shows quarterly totals. I have everything loaded right in the table and it looks fine when I "view results". However, when I actually print the page, there is a blank space where the 14th row of my table is supposed to be and the 14th row is printed partially 1/4 inch from the very top of the page. What am I doing wrong. I've made 2 different documents, now and I get the same result...always the 14th row.

SOURCE: the value cannot be added to this new row until the row has been committed

It sounds like you are using an ADO data set, which is probably one of the more difficult, especially for a beginner. What you are seeing is that the data does not update related controls until the data has been committed to the row you are updating. Set the Binding.DataSourceUpdateMode to DataSourceUpdateMode.OnPropertyChanged.

Or, depending on the version of Access you are using, the option may be somewhat different. The point is to tell the control to update "on change" - so that once your data is in there (a change) the other items you want to happen will occur, as the row has been committed (recorded). Thanks for rating FixYa!

I haven't had any trouble following the manual to program and run this machine until today. Now it appears to be adding all the days together...I have used the Z daily function and it just continues to...

This is almost impossible. The first thing to do is make sure you are not accidentally performing an X read instead. Depending upon the brand, the top of the daily report should show 'Z' , 'Z1', or 'ZZ1' If it shows X instead of Z or the total keeps rising every day, then you are not performing a Z (reset). you are printing an X (examine only report). If you still have trouble, let me know the brand and model.

How do i get the track list form my cd's so it does come up with the track list no tack1, track2 so on... i have on a hard-drive, so i don't have to keep wighting the track list one buy one

Nearly all CD burning/ripping software can use this or another online CD database, like CDDB for example. You have to turn on this functionality.
It will work for most popular CDs, but some rare or obscure artists still will not be found, and you'll have to be writing the track list one by one.

Showing no database

Have you connected the player to your PC in Sonic Stage to see if anything is loaded on to it? Once initialized, the hard drive is empty. Transfer just one track and it should try to rebuild the database.
format the hard disc, it''s an option within the menu
Once you have done that, remove all the songs from Sonicstage CP. Get rid of EVERYTHING. Reimport all the songs to Sonicstage again and try to sync the NWA unit.

My PSS110 can not find the tracks that have been loaded on to it.

This device uses its own internal database to keep track of the files it can show. If you just copy files over the database won't be updated.

Get the free program "ShoqBox Buddy" and use the "rebuild database" function to tell the device about the new files you added.

Casio 101cr.i need a users manual.

Hi. These registers are about the most basic you can get, so they can't do a daily and monthly total.

Basically it works like this:

The machine doesn't care when you do your reports. It will just total up until it gets reset by someone. If you want a monthly, just do your reports each month. However, this means you can't do a daily.

If you turn to X mode and press CASH, you get the total so far (since you last did a Z report).
If you do the same in Z mode, it will give the report, then reset the report to zero.

If you want to see daily and monthly, you can do an X at the end of each day which will show that day and the previous days together. you will need to subtract the other days to find out what todays takings are. Then at the end of month, do a Z and that will reset you for the next month.

Otherwise, if you are interested in monthly only, then just do a Z at the end of each month.

So, what I'm saying is the machine doesn't care how many times you do an X report. It will just show you how you are doing so far, but you must do a Z report when you want it to reset everything. If you want to check if the Z report worked, just wait for the report to print, then press CASH again straight after, and you should see the figures have gone.

I hope this makes sense. If you need more advice, just ask.

Line feeds

Hi-

When you said line feed do you mean the Top of form?

hope this helps

1. Make sure the printer is turned on and the desired tractor is selected (the corresponding tractor arrow should be lit).
2. Open the upper cover.
3. Press the Top of Form button to enter top-of-form mode. The printer beeps once, and the Top of Form light turns on.
4. Use the Micro Feed buttons to feed the paper to the desired top-of-form position. The “A” on the ribbon protector shows you where the bottom edge of your first line of text will print. This position is based on the first printable line of text. If your software inserts a top margin of five lines, your text will actually print five lines below the top-of-form position.
5. Press the Top of Form button again to exit and save your new top-of-form position. Then close the top cover.

Keep me posted if you have inquiries, thanks!

Player not reading music.

This problem is usually due to using Windows Explorer or My Computer to transfer files. Although you can use the player as a removable drive, it will not recognise any music tracks transfered in this way. The HDD060 & 070 series have a database of tracks which is read by the player on startup. The player does not scan the drive.

To transfer tracks you need to use the Musicmatch Jukebox software on the product CD. Musicmatch updates the database when transfering music tracks.

This software is not compatible with Windows Vista, or Windows Media Player 11. If you have Media Player 11 you will need to uninstall version 11 to roll back to version 10.

If you are already using Jukebox, the problem may be the way the software is recognising the player. The HDD060 & 070 series show up both as "Removable Drive n:" (Where n can be any drive letter) and "GoGear".

If Musicmatch Jukebox is recognising the player as "Removable Drive n:" then go into the Musicmatch Options, and look for the Devices option or tab. Click the drop down menu next to the "Removable Drive n:" entry and select "GoGear".

The tracks you have already tried to transfer are actually on the player, so you will need to run the Philips Device Manager form the product CD and Restore the player, to free up this space.
