There is water going into tank.....it appears to fill, though I am not sure about where the fill level is. The error code comes on and cycle is interrupted. IF I turn off power and restart, then the pump will empty water in tank..........then start to fill again until error code comes on. So water is coming in and water is going out. I disassembled water resevior which operates water level shut-off switch. It appears to be functional.

What else would cause that error code to come on?

  • lizellis65 May 05, 2010

cleaned water input tank and water level sensor float and switch........the switch appears funtional. What next?

What else will cause IE error code to come on? I would like to proceed with the process here...thanks.

I have gone through the entire "test mode" process....everything seems to work, though there are some tests that it is hard to tell. For example the soil sensor, the varios, heating element etc. Is there a test mode that can help with IE error code?

Hi,

This is a common fault if your drain hose
or the drain pipework after it is blocked by tissues or fluff etc remove the drain hose from the vertical drain pipe or u-bend connection and check that all are free of obstructions. Also a lot of machines have a filter located at the bottom of the machine either behind a flap at the front or located near the pump at (usually) the back of the machine underneath. This can be got at by either removing the back panel if there is one or tilting the machine forward to access it from underneath chock the drum with wood to avoid drum suspension damage or re- attach the drum bolts which were removed when the machine was delivered if you still have them. The pump will have a rubber hose attached before it and the pump is connected to the machine end of the drain hose, often the rubber hose is large bore and incorporates a hard plastic filter designed to trap buttons coins etc before entering the pump and damaging the impeller blades, remove any debris.

In essence you are making sure the the whole drainage route from the drum to the final drain point is clear and free flowing.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Hi there,

Well according to the user manual, it's a water input error. You have to check for a kink or clog to the water hose running to your machine. Is there any water coming in? If yes - then it could be flow meter, If no - then it could be water safety shut off valve or connecting wires. Try disconnecting the Water Valve outlet from the Dishwasher and run the output into a bucket to check. Please check out the below link for more information -

(Just copy and past the above link in your web browser)
Please post comments for further help or information......

Good Luck!!

Thanks

My Samsung dishwasher will not stop draining. I cannot stop it, except by turning the breaker off. When I turn the breaker back on, it continues. Help!!!

It is stuck on a particular cycle. If electronic unit, see if there is a reset switch on unit. If not check out with samsung for hidden code to do so. If reset is unsuccessful you may need a controller/control board.

Why am I getting an error code iCO on my frigidaire gallery dishwasher?

I just addressed a iCO error code on my 2 week old Frigidaire Gallery DW. I reset the circuit breaker as recommended online and it worked fine for another few days and then came back. Customer service cannot tell me what the error code means. They WILL NOT replace the DW, rather want to schedule a service appointment. I have no desire to repair a new DW so I am receiving a refund from the retailer I purchased from. On to the next brand!

Error code eo

Hello Gary, I am happy to assist you! I see that your Frigidaire dishwasher is displaying error code EO; however, is it possible that the code is missing a number or character(s)? Typically error code "E0" is follow by another number. In the meantime, you can reset your dishwasher. This can be done by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. It is important to wait approximately ten minutes and then turn on your appliance. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, could you please advise me of the new error code or if it continues to display "EO"? With this information I can better address the issue at hand. Thank you! - Z

Electrolux front loader E50 error

Hello Friend, thank you for your post!

I see you are receiving an error code E50 on your Electrolux dishwasher. Is it possible that the code is missing characters? Could it possibly be an E50? May I please have your model number? The serial tag, which lists your model number, is typically located on the right side as you open the door. With this information I can further address the issue at hand. In the meantime, I suggest resetting your dishwasher. You can do this by flipping the household circuit breaker off for roughly ten minutes. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, could you please inform me of the new error code or if your dishwasher continues to display E50. Thank you - Z.

Hi I have an LG LD - 14AW23 dishwasher. It shows an IE error (no water) but it fills, stops and then gives the error message. What's thye problem? Many thanks, John

Hi

Error code IE on LG dishwasher means Inlet error. This error comes up when the Water Supply Tap is closed or Water Supply is shut off. If water supply is turned on then make sure that the Inlet Hose is not kinked and water Pressure is not low (should be above 10 psi). Next thing to check for is Water Inlet Valve, measure the electric resistance of Inlet Valve. (950-1300 ohms) Make sure the filter of Inlet Valve is not clogged.

Hope this helps... Please post back for further assistance.

F3 on Whirlpool dishwasher ADP7949

F3 error fault code
The heating cycle is not working. The error is indicated after several electronic checks are done over a 25 minute period. Therefore if the heater heats too slowly or the heater is open circuit or indeed the electronic control PCB is defective, each of these will indicate F3. The twist is, if the NTC is fluctuating in its reading it also can indicate F3 and not F1.

Dishwasher keeps tripping electric

Two things to consider....clean water or dirty water?
Clean water usually indicates the fill valve is not shutting off all the way and the fill valve is "weeping" water in all the time = new fill valve time!!
Dirty water usually is not a dishwasher problem but more of a plumbing issue. Often the sink drain that carries the sinks water outside is not fast enough and some of this sink water is backing up into the drain hose and filling up the dishwasher through the drain hose. The drain from the sink to outside needs attention as this type of a problem indicates a slow house drain for that sink.
The dishwasher drain line should be clamped to the top underneath part of the counter before entering the sink drain plumbing, this may help the water from coming back inside the dishwash
If the cycle doesn't complete, check these:

Water-heating cycle
Timer
Water-heating cycle Many dishwashers heat the wash and/or rinse water to a higher temperature, as the cycle calls for it. In these cycles, the dishwasher pauses after it has filled with water, waiting for the water to reach the pre-set temperature. What happens next, depends, as follows:

  • On some units, the pause is timed and the unit continues after the allotted time.

  • On others, the cycle can't continue until the water reaches the higher temperature. If you have this type of dishwasher and the water isn't being heated (say, because of a problem with the heating element or thermostat), after the unit stops at the heating cycle, it never continues. When you repair the heating-system problem, the "cycle problem" is fixed too.

Timer Timers don't often fail. But if every other part of the dishwasher seems to be working properly and the timer knob seems to be stuck in one place--doing one function continuously--the timer may be at fault. Dishwasher timers can't be repaired. If yours is defective, replace it.

I see an error code
If your dishwasher has a digital readout and you see an error code, it may indicate a problem with the unit. If this happens, look up the error code in your owner's manual to find out what the problem is.
