Question about Bosch Axxis WTL 6307 Electric Dryer

Open Question

Bosch dryer won't start

Bosch Axxis dryer's lights come on, but we hit the "start" button and nothing happens. Problem began one night after we did several loads. I figured all would be well in the morning, after a cool-down period, but dryer still won't start. I've cleaned the heat exchanger, but still it won't start. Blown fuse? Is there a reset switch? Door seems to close fully. Axxis dryer is about 3-4 years old (best guess -- we are not original owners). It's a condenser dryer -- not vented to outside.

SOURCE: Bosch Axxis WTL5410 condensation dryer does not heat up

Common faults -
1 The heating elements can fail (meaning open circuit)
2 There are cut-outs (T.O.C's) that might need resetting
3 The thermostats (stats) can trip out or burn out (meaning opencircuit)
4 Moderntumble dryers also have sensors and pcb's (Printed circuitboards) thesehave programs that can fail and circuitry although most should produce an errorcode showing you were the fault is.
5 Faultyconnections and burned wires may also be the fault.

the thermostats at the element have to be replaced, they burn out prematurely if the condensor unit is not cleaned on a regular basis.

Door switch may still be your problem. Mine showed lights as if working when closed but I decided to use a screwdriver and push in switch all the way in. It worked then without door closed. It will stay stuck until you pull it own a bit to release it. Give it a try. The door switch appears to have two switches in it requiring it to be all the way in.

Hi, Welcome to FixYa. If you turn the drum by hand do you feel any airflow out the back ? (you need to undo the vent hose too) This will tell you if the belt is broke. Let me know and we can go forward from there. Regards, Macmarkus :)

I had the same problem. It is the door latch. It cost about $150 to fix. I can't believe the tech didn't know it. It is very common for Bosch Dryers after about 3-4 years old.

Bosch Dryer misfunction

Check the fuse. This is a German unit, so every part including the light bulb is 208/240 volts. If the fuse for the dryer on the back is open the unit will not start.
