Gouges in ceramic stovetop. Roasting pan set on a very hot burner. Pan had remnants of plastic packaging on the bottom. Plastic packaging hit the burner and explosive bits of ceramic blew up.

Lots of plastics have a very low melting point and such plastic coming into contact with a very hot surface would probably vaporise fairly explosively and that is likely to be the cause.

No air, now it works.

It sounds like the air temperature control blend door actuator or blend door may be sticking. Only a shop will be able to confirm this. I will note that your post is very confusing and provides little info that can be clearly understood about what is going on here. You may need to read what you wrote and clarify it a bit. Thanks

GETTING HOT. replaced thermastat.....ran for a while good, then got hot and melted sparkplugs...and now won't start...just turns over

There are several reasons for overheating, but I think you problem goes a bit deeper than that. For the plugs to melt you must have had an extremely lean fuel mixture that could be coupled to incorrect spark plugs and running on fuel of too low an octane rating. There is also a good chance that you have burned valves at this rate. Do a compression check and if that checks out I would say that your fuel mixture is still to lean which is the reason for your starting problem and you really need to get you car onto a computer to have it set up properly.

You need to take a closer look really, see if anything on the power supply board inside has melted, burned, popped, etc.

Dell E1505 speakers melted, New speakers smell burnt too.

The speakers are heating up because there is a short in the audio circuitry on the mother board, and I would consider you extremely lucky if that is all that is over drawing current and heating up. You may get lucky and be able to connect external speakers to get sound without melting your laptop.

ONKYO M282 AMP seems to have lost all mid and low range

It's probably salvagable but I doubt it will be cheap or easy. Most likely you have one or more ruined output transistors. If you're into taking things apart and soldering, it might be easy for you. Just look
for abnormalities on the transistors, usually a little hole in the center of them or blistering. Replace those and you'll either have it back to sounding good or much closer to it. Most output transistors do not fail without showing visual evidence of it.
