Brush doesnt turn

Look for the reset button on the side of the brushbar housing - there should be a red sticker and a red button. Push it once. It's
not gonna stay depressed, it's gonna pop right out - that's normal.
- Step on the red pedal on the back
- Turn the machine on with the red power button
- Press the gray button next to the red power button - this is the ON/OFF switch for the brushbar - if it doesn't spin, press and hold the gray button down for 10 seconds
- If it still isn't spinning, remove the brushbar and make sure nothing is blocking it and withholding it from spinning

On button won't stay depressed. when pushed to on, the vaccuum goes on but won't stay on unless button is held down.

Needs a new on/off switch. You can order one from an appliance parts store, and replace it yourself or take it to a shop.

I have an electrolux enviro multi steamer and have no instructions. I filled it up and turned it on and it is steaming out everywhere. The handle became too hot to use. What am I doing wrong ?

Check the handle. There is a Button which you press and hold and one which slides up and down. The slide button is so you don't have to depress the other button (when you are wanting constant steam, ie., for cleaning floors etc...).

I would suggest that the slide button is engaged (meaning in the on position), slide it back the opposite way and see if this solves the problem. Regards, Tina

Power button not engaging...vacuum will not stay

The power button is worn out and needs to be replaced. That vacuum is pretty simple. So even if you don't know how to take it apart it shouldn't cost much to have it repaired.

On switch will not stay down or on

My vacuum had this exact same problem, but was out of warranty because it was remanufactured. Thankfully, it's a very quick, five-minute fix.
  1. UNPLUG The Vacuum!
  2. Remove the cannister.
  3. Extend the handle and remove it.
  4. Remove the two torx (T-15) screws behind the power button, where the handle normally stows.
  5. There are four tabs holding the front plate containing the power button on; use your screwdriver to release them.
  6. Gently pull the front plate off.
  7. The switch on the right is the power button. Remove it, try clicking it a few times; if it sticks, great, it should now stick when you press the power button. Replace it and reassemble, otherwise you'll need to get a new switch.

Start button does not remain depressed when turned on.

Sounds like a defective switch that won't catch. Is it still under warranty? You could put something higher than, but roughly the same size as the button on it and duct tape it on until you get it replaced. If you're handy you could replace it with a toggle or rocker switch at about $2 but it's not as suave chic. If not it should be a fairly cheap repair at the dealer.
