Try using a USB mouse, if not try re-installing the Human Input Device driver from Device Manager.

ASUS CG5275 USB ports on back panel won't work

You might need the drivers, it's an odd case if they worked before.

Another possibility is the jumper header fell off the motherboard while you were moving it, this is most likely the case.

I hope this helps.

Hello..just moved my desk top to new desk..everything is fine..but mouse won t work..while it was unplugged i cleaned keyboard..monitor with soft cloth..can u tell me why my mouse won t work

IF it's a serial mouse (meaning green round connector) it's probably not plugged in correctly. Now these are not plug and play so you need to reboot your system in order for it to work. Try that.

My optiplex gx280 desktop fan rotate at a really high speed, but won't turn on. There are no visible bad caps. What else should i check for?

I have that same problem and what usually works for me is to remove the ram and reinstall it also to move a little the heatsink of the processor, just nudge it a little then try again.
Also try not to move too much your computer

Vostro 1520- keyboard stuck on randomly repeating keys after small liquid spill.. no liquid inside, only a few drops on keys and it won't type right. Tried USB keyboard but it won't override the...

short of replacing the keyboard, there is not much you can do. If not killer expensive, then you could at your own risk put isopropal alcohol inside the tray - move around and then turn upside down. this will be easier on the electronics and may dissolve the liquid depending on what it is. If the viscocity is too high, then it wont work but worth a try.

Fan not working

You should replace the fan, or have a technician replace it for you. Without the fan your notebook will overheat and cause hardware failure.
