You will need to perform a Repair install and for that any Win 7 64 bit disk will do. At worst you will have to reinstall and any (non OEM - unless it's from the same manufacturer) Win 7 Student 64 bit install disk will do - borrow one from a friend.
But before that you should backup you personal files by copying them on a USB memory stick while using a Linux Live-CD like http://pclinuxos.com/

Base from the description of your problem the only way that the system can be repair is by using a Windows 7 installation disc, that way the operating system will be repair and all of your data will still be there it will just repair the corrupted part of your operating system.

Windows 7 crash on windows is loading when i boot

If you can boot to safe mode, but do not get anything on the screen, try pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ESC to bring up task manager. See if anything is running. If you don't have anything, it could be that you need to start explorer.exe. You may need to pull your hard drive, backup your files and reload the OS.

Everything is fine except for crashing (blue screen) or just blacking out. Can restart automatically or I have to remove the battery, power supply retry several times.

Hello the homepage is here:

http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/ussoho1/Product/inspiron-1520

Windows 7 is not a supported system.

Especialy not the 64 bit. The 32 bit will probably work fine.

Try to install the newest graphic driver and upgade the bios to the latest version.
DO NOT run the bios upgrade before the system is running fine.
Install any missing drivers.
Look in the device manager.
Any file here from dell needs to be unziped before you install it.

Good luck

Gateway nothing displayson the screan thescreen freezes when the window displays i cant reboot or nothen it crashed hard

HI, Regarding this issue with the computer not booting to Windows, please press the F8 as soon as you reboot the computer you would get a black screen that says "ADVANCED BOOT OPTIONS" from here you would find an option that says "SAFE MODE" please use the up and down arrow keys and highlight this option and see if you are able to get into Windows in the safe mode.If you are able to boot into safe mode then we can restore the settings of the computer to an earlier date for which please click on Start->All Programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Restore. You would get the System restore window from where you need to select an earlier date wherein the computer was working fine and then the computer would reboot and you should be able to get the computer to work.

Can i convert a 32 bit to a 64 bit

You can use the Upgrade option during Windows 7 installation, which preserves your files, settings, and programs, only if you're currently running a 32-bit version of Windows Vista and you want to upgrade to the 32-bit version of Windows 7. Similarly, if you are running a 64-bit version of Windows Vista, you can only perform an upgrade to a 64-bit version of Windows 7. For more information, go to Upgrading to Windows 7: frequently asked questions on the Windows website.
If you want to move from a 32-bit version of Windows to a 64-bit version of Windows 7 or vice versa, you'll need to back up your files and choose the Custom option during Windows 7 installation. Then, you'll need to restore your files and reinstall your programs. For more information about performing a custom installation, see Installing and reinstalling Windows 7‍.

  • To install a 64-bit version of Windows 7 on a computer running a 32-bit version of Windows, you'll need to start, or boot, your computer using a 64-bit Windows 7 installation disc or files.
  • If you start your computer using a 64-bit Windows 7 installation disc or files, but your computer isn't capable of running a 64-bit version of Windows, you'll see a Windows Boot Manager error. You'll need to use a 32-bit Windows 7 installation disc or files instead.
  • Windows Easy Transfer can't transfer files from a 64-bit version of Windows to a 32-bit version of Windows. If you're running a 64-bit version of Windows Vista but you plan to install a 32-bit version of Windows 7, you can move your files to an external location manually or use Backup and Restore in Windows Vista. For more information, go to Back up your files and

Able to boot up to windows operating system but it freezes within 5 minutes

first, did this problem suddenly appear?...or was it slowly getting worse? It sounds like an interrupt problem with the video hardware. If this problem suddenly appeared, then boot Safe Mode and then run system restore to date just before problem occurred. If this came gradually, then solution is same as above except finding date will be more difficult and trial and error routine will be necessary.
