How do I reset the message on my Uniden DECT 6.0 cordless phone?

Hello Miriam Taylor,

Listening to the message should be sufficient.

Mine wasn't a real message... I fat fingered the
base trying to INTERCOM to my wife's remote.

As I never intended to use my system as an answering
machine... I deleted it too...

If you look really closely at the 1,2,4 & 5 key on the touch pad of each wireless remote the (play) right arrow seen on the base
is adjacent to the 2 key... Press it...

Delete will be an OPTION above the SOFT keys associated with the menu words on your display... (off & message gone).

Then made sure MY ANSWER FEATURE was "OFF".

You will have to read the manual... (RTM, below).

Message access can be accomplished three ways...
at the Base, at any cordless station... and (off premises)
remotely from anywhere in the telephone network.

Hope this helps...

ELSE RTM.

How to change voive message

Press MENU until you hear "Record Outgoing Message."
Press REC/MEMO. The voice prompt will say "Now recording", following by a tone.
Begin speaking after the tone, towards the front edge of the Base Unit. The Base Unit display becomes a timer as you record your outgoing message.

Your message must be longer than two seconds and shorter than 90 seconds.

MY DRAGON NATURALLY SPEAKING 10-PROFESSIONAL DOES NOT WORK IN AOL EMAIL. IT WORKS WITH EVERY OTHER PROGRAM. BUT, WHEN I TRY TO DICTATE IN AOL EMAIL, NOTHING HAPPENS. ANYONE KNOW OF A SOLUTION?

Dragon Naturally Speaking 10 has not been tested to work with web based e-mail. It's also the same thing with Dragon Naturally Speaking 11 regardless of any version. As a work around and fix for this, if you want to use it through on any web based e-mail is to use the Dictation box.
Here are the simple steps to access the Dictation box:
1.Make sure you have successfully loaded a working user profile. 2.On the dragon bar, go to tools and then go to "Dictation Box" 3.Here, you can start dictating e-mail messages and use the "Transfer" button to transfer text in AOL E-mail.
I hope this solves your current problem.

I have dropped my phone several times. There would be times when the display would be either solid blue or show nothing at all. Eventually it would work right again. I dropped it once more and now it...

Sounds like a cable is loose or not fixed firm enough inside the phone, dropping can cause this to happen.
The type of phone and your skill set dictates if you can fix it yourself or have to take it to someone more competent.

Problem with B&O beocom 6000 ''extension'' no contact with base

I think you just need to re-register the phone to the base. Press the button on the base station (between the 2 charger pins) then go to the handset setup menu, scroll to register handset.

Handset has message Out of Range even though it is fully charged on on the handset.

The handsets are reading out of range because they have lost connection with the base. This happens mostly during peak power demands or power outages, but can also happen when the phone is unplugged for any amount of time. This can also cause, at times, the answering machine to stop picking up calls. To remedy this issue, reset the phone system. Please follow the instructions below:
To reset the phone:
1. Disconnect the power adapter, phone line, and remove all batteries from the base and all handsets. Leave it disconnected for 30 seconds to reset the base.
2. Place the batteries in the handsets first and then plug in the power adapter and phone line. Do not place the batteries back in the base yet.
3. Put the handset in the charge cradle.
4. It may take up to 1 minute for the "Out of Range" to clear from the display.
5. Once the "Out of Range" is cleared from the handset place the back up batteries back into the base.

Almost constantly gives "no link to base" message

I had this problem too. I popped the battery out, waited 1 minute then put it back in. Unfortunately this clears the memory of all recent calls, etc. but it immediately started working again. So far its only happened once...
