It may well be that the battery that's being charged is getting past its sell by date. They only last for so many charges. easy way to find out is remove the battery, connect the power supply, and if the charger power supply doesn't get hot (usual to get warm) then its your battery. It is perfectly okay to use the laptop without the battery installed on the mains.
Battery is probably dead. Will need to purchase new one, not repairable. When replacing, do not buy "new" battery that has been sitting around on a shelf for several years. Will have much shorter life. Insist on battery that has been made within the last year, maybe 18 months at most. Expect to pay $50 to $125. To increase battery life, try not the let them fully discharge when using. Most recommendations are keeping them above 10% charge.

hi i have fujitsu sieman amilo 3710 it will no switch on there nothing no noise no light but when put it on charge the little charging light comes on to say its charging can u help
Probably you damaged the motherboard with an incompatible charger, You are very likely to need to have it replaced and to buy a fujitsu spare charger or at least an aftermarket compatible one...the charger might have broke instead because of overheating caused by the higher load, but cannot be sure about it because you didn't post full specs.
BOOT UP INTO SAFE MODE AND LET WINDOWS TO TRY AND FIX IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS THEN YOU ARE GOING DESTROY THE MASTER BOOOT SECTOR ON THE HARD DRIVE AND THAN YOU HAVE TO PAY SOME ONE LINKE ME TO REBUILD THE MASTER BOOT RECORD, UNLESS YOU MAY HAVE ALREADY DONE
If it's only 10 months old it is still within the manufacturers warranty, so do not touch or alter anything to do with the charger or battery, as even though the battery is seeming to be the fault, it is normally the motherboard charging point that is faulty or the motherboard not recognising the battery is connected.
