Question about Nvidia GeForce 7300 LE 256MB PCI Express Graphic Card

Geforce 7300 LE Secondary monitor problem

I installed a Geforce 7300 LE graphic card and it installed well. I went to the properties to identify my monitors but I could only see my plug and play monitor identified as "1" and when I tried to identify my secondary monitor, it still display "1" instead of "2".

Did anyone have an idea of what is wrong and how to solve this problem. My operating system is WinXp.

Thanks.

Well you need to have both monitors plugged into the SAME graphics card and you need to play aroudn with your display properties. I know that when i did this in vista i click a dropdown box where the name of my monitor was and the selected my 2nd monitor and the number 2 highlighted and i could change it as i wanted. As for windows XP you may want to check here...

No color Red, Dell XPS 400, NVIDIA GeForce 7300 LE video card

Mike,

I would recommend for you to try different monitor, so that you can isolate the problem.

If same problem occur, try to plug in your video card into another PCI slot in your computer. Cleaning the gold fingers of the video card with a clean cotton cloth might help.

Use a blower to remove some dust on the PCI slot.

Or try inserting the video card in another computer. If you get the same problem on another computer, you need to replace the card.

Good luck!

Error code 43

Uninstall both video cards, disable the integrated card in the bios, and then reinstall the stand alone video card. If you continue to have problems, please post what motherboard you use and what error code device manager gives.

Is my Motherboard compatible?

Try to find out what the AGP voltage is on the motherboard.
Some graphics cards use 1.5 volts and some use 3.
If it's a 1.5 volt AGP slot and you plug a 3 volt graphics card in, it either wont work or you could permanantly damage both card and motherboard.

Multiple display problem

Hello. Your driver software was 71.6MB large. It not only included the driver software but secondary software for you to control & setup dual monitors. The package came with a HDMI connector which is used to connect the HDMI femal port to VGA port, if the monitor does not have a HDMI male port. Currently the reason you can not see your display is because the signal comming out of the video card is set to the other port on the card. Once you switch to the other port you'll have display on your monitor. Open control panel, than open display. Display Properties will open on your desktop. Click settings than click advanced. You should see another tab that reads something like, NVIDIA® nView Multi-Display Technology. (I'm guessing because I only use ATI's software) I can't load your driver software on my current system. The two cards may be different but the software is similar. This Nvidia tab is where you set up your monitor or monitors. Once in this advanced portion for your video card you can set which connector from the video card will display on what monitor. There will also be a ton of settings you can adjust, from color to 3D & other options. You must have an icon by your clock as well that allows you to open the standard display properties or the advanced display properties.
