Question about Kingston (DTIU3/2GB) 2 GB USB Hard Drive
A simple test would be to try it in another USB port and make sure its all the way in.
You could have a bad USB port or two on your PC/laptop if neither work and that would require that they be replaced or resodered.
Check if you see it in Disk Management (Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Computer Management - Disk Management) . Sometimes the partition letters get changed, and it won't show up on My Computer until you re-assign a not-conflicting drive letter.
About the only thing you can try is applying pressure to the stick or slightly twisting it to see if its minor break inside the device and if the computer will recognize it just long enough to get the data off.
