Question about Dewalt 18 Volt Xrp Heavy Duty Hammer Drill Kit
When drilling or in hammer drill mode under load the unit kicks out and will not maintain the force, it slips . The question is it possible to repair yourself, send it off to repair or replace?

I am assuming you are talking about
not being able to move the "Mode Control Collar" and unless you can
get it out of hammer mode, you will not be able to change the torque collar
If you feel comfortable taking it
apart AND its no longer under warranty, my best guess without seeing the tool will
be part# N026313 Gear Case Assembly. It costs about $80.00 US
Hopefully its under warranty, if so
