Question about Humax DRT800 DVD Recorder
Green light on all the time, will not go on standby or the menu, tried unplugging everything, but when switched on green light comes on again and nothing else will work
the problem is from your the DVD's main board. The cause of the problem is high electricity voltage or irregular power supply that passed through the power board into the main board. This is why it is advise able to always use step down for DVD players because any high/excess current can damage the main board inside the player.
The DVD main board carries the whole function of the unit, and anything that happens to the board, will affect all other functions on the of the player. Its just like a motherboard.
I would advice you take it to a technician to ascertain the main fault and get it fixed.
