You're getting the "incorrect sim" message because the sim is incorrect for the phone you're using it in.

The most common reason is if the phone is locked to an individual carrier (network) in which case it will not accept sims from any other carrier. With some carriers it's not even possible to change from pay as you go to a pay monthly sim (or vice versa) without the carrier authorising the change. A less common possibility is that the sim is not sufficiently up to date for use in your phone: they may all look much the same, but just like the phones they're constantly evolving.

Sometimes the sim tray would function incorrectly, again it depends on which phone you used your sim previously. it must have been blunt inside. tear a piece of paper, fold it exactly to .05mm and keep it on the simcard and place the battery, due to pressure, sim will get into contact.

before this, try to wipe off all the dirt on simcard and get the sim contact tray rectified or cleaned from dirt from your nearest mobile repair shop

How to fix my mottorola v3 its sayin no service???

Well it depends...First take a sim card beside yours, one you know works, power phone off, insert sim, power phone up, wait 1 minute, if it still says no service, power down and take the sim card back out, reinstall the battery and power phone back on without sim installed. when the phone powers back on does it say "no sim" or "no service"? this is to see if the phone can decipher a sim being in the phone and it not having service. If it say no sim then the sim reader is working, if it says no service then the phone may not in-fact be able to tell the difference of having a sim card and having service. Regardless at this point it is not working and more than likely an internal electrical component has failed and more than likely it may be the radio communication circuit of the device, if you insist on keeping this device- find one with a cracked screen but working internal and dissemble it, and replace the main board in the unit- this will in turn change the esn' imie, the overall serial of the phone, so take note of the new phone serial number- only replace the main bored under the keypad,be careful because it is VERY easy to mistakenly damage the device and its components. I do not see an easier way than this to fix you issue besides taking it in for repair- the new phone does not have to be broken but must be operational for making and taking calls. save all of your information as it will be lost after transfer-more or less still on the old phone, if this is an unlocked device please return original carrier sim for testing, and if the unit does not accept sim card skip those steps, and be sure that the new phone does not have an esn lock--Good Luck

My phone is sayin sim blocked an it only let's me

PUK stands for Personal Unblocking Key. This is a uniqueeight-digit code specific to your SIM card. This is required when the PINnumber to unlock your mobile phone is entered incorrectly 3 times. You are thengiven 10 attempts to enter your PUK code. If an incorrect PUK code is enteredafter the 10th attempt, you will block your SIM card permanently and willrequire a new SIM card from your mobile phone provider.
PUK codes can be obtained through the following ways -The PUK code is in your SIM card documentation Starter Pack.If you do not have this then -Please contact your phone service provider.
Your cell phone service provider can give you the PUK code once you give themyour account details and they have confirmed your identity. For details to obtain the PUK code for the SIM card, pleaseclick on this link and follow my instructions.

If phone says incorect simcard for sony ericsson

Hi it means the sim card you are using is not the same type the phone is locked to say your trying a orange network sim but the phone may be locked to vodafone.

if the sim card worked in the phone before then i would take the sim card out and give the contacts are rub then put it back in if it still dont work then this would suggest the sim card reader needs replacing, to get this done it will need taking to a phone shop.

if you are unsure what network the phone is locked to then you can take it into any phone shop and they will tell you for free what network its locked to.

let me know if you need further assistance ok

plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks

It is sayin enter puk code

Hi if your phone is asking for the PUK code then what the phone is asking for is the security code for the sim card all you need to do is contact your service provider and give them your phone number they will then give you the 15digit code over the phone, they wont charge for this, but the code they give you will only work with the sim card thats asking for the code as every single sim made has its own unique unlocking code so write it down when they give it to you in case you ever need it in the futuere ok.

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok
