Canon 850 E001 Error

Hi,

When I turn on my Canon 850 copier I get a E 001 error code message and the machine makes a clicking sound and goes off.

The machine worked fine until someone had a paper jam and tugged the papaer out. Upon removing the paper jam we bagan experiencing this E 001 code each time we turn the copier on.

Any tips would be much appreciated.

I entered service mode and it fixed itself.
With the front panel open and the copier lid/carriage lifted up, I used a paperclip and stuck it in the small hole on the center of the front grey panel (DC controller) and simultaneously used a pen to hold down the tab in the slot on the lower left edge that makes the copier think the lid is down. I hit the power button and then it worked! A "1" showed on teh LED display. It reset the error code and all is OK now.

It goes off within a second when I turn it on. It also doesn't turn on with the door open.

How can i fix the error code 000001-00002

Assuming you have a copier or laser printer, this site:

Thread Canon IR 2200 error E000001 002

suggests:

Some errors can just come up and you can just clear them and if everything works fine you don't need to worry about calling a tech. However if clearing it doesn't make the error message go away or you have problems emerge with the copier then you do have a problem.

E001 is an Overheating detection error.

E001-002 - The sub thermistor detects about 295 degrees celsius or higher. You would have got E001-000 for a temperature above 250 degrees.

Canom imagerunner 2520 error e000001

Hello,
the e001 is error for the temperature rise detection in fixing unit. There are more sub codes that I need to know for precise troubleshooting. i.e. E001-000 or E001-001 or E001-002

But if there is no fault in components, you can try to reset it in service mode.

Procedure:
additional function, then press 2 and 8 then go in clear by pressing scrolling, then go in engine, then choose ERRCLR and then turn off and on the copier.

If these doesn't helps you need to replace fixing film unit.

I have an error code E000 on my canon copier what could be the problem

A E000 code means the error history has detected any one of the following error codes 4 times :E001;E002;E003.
The error can be cleared in the service mode.

A E001 code is a fixing error code. It has to do with the heating lamp or the thermister or the thermal fuse or it could be all 3. Dose the fixing lamp turn ON. If no it is the fixing lamp or thermal fuse. If it turns ON and warms up and then codes out then it is the thermister. It could also be the whole fixing unit is bad.
