Re: Blue tooth phonebook
The unit does not save the phone book, it loads it each time your bluetooth phone is in contact with it. To verify this, turn off the bluetooth phone, then try to access the phone book in the GPS unit. It should not come up.

is nothing to program for that, unit will when powered up and with a
good clear site line to the sky will usually find and access the
satellites on its own.
Go into your setup screen and find the gps section, this will show you
the satellites, then go outdoors with the unit. If you still cannot find
any satelites and would hazard the guess that your unit is defective
and needs to be returned to the store for exchange.
I can help you with the phone numbers on your Garmin Nuvi 265WT.
phone numbers transferred to your Nuvi are only supposed to be
available when your phone is paired to your cell phone. Changing the
entry on your phone should allow that entry to show up changed the next
time it is paired with the Nuvi. Sometimes, a bluetooth mix up causes
entries to be duplicated or entries' phone numbers to get repeated.
The Garmin Nuvi 650 is available from www.BestBuy.com. We do not price match other websites, however if you purchase the unit from Best Buy™ and we put the item on sale within the normal return / exchange period (30 days from purchase) you would be eligible to be matched down to our current sale price.
1) Turn on unit 2) Press VIEW MAP 3) Press SPEED in lower left hand side of map 4) This will bring you to the Trip meter screen on this screen press the round speedometer at the top of the screen for about 10 seconds this will bring you to the SYSTEM BIOS. 5) From this point forward be careful you can mess up your unit by changing the wrong thing. 6) Press NEXT until you come to the BLUETOOTH STATUS screen. 7) Now press UPDT P this should complete your update.
I fix this problem for my Nuvi 660 Europe. I found
resources in Italian language only:
1 - go to http://www.garmin.it
2 - in the search texbotx (i the up left corner of the page) type bluetooth and press enter
3 - click on the 1st faq that will appear
4 - download the file FileBluetooth.zip
5 - unzip the file
6 - copy 006B055301.GCD in X:\Garmin\RemoteSW directory
7 - reboot your nuvi
At this poin bluettoth would be ok newly.
