There are small wires that charge the drum to transfer image. Not sure if they are in drum unit or not on this machine. If the transfer chargers are dirty they will cause a dirty or voided copy. Make sure document glass is clean. Unplug machine check for these small wires if dirty gently clean with cotton swab or soft towel. Hope this helps
he KIP 3000 is a single footprint Multi-Function Printer which can copy, scan and ..... In case the following Error Codes for a serious failure appear in the screen;.
voids on copies can be two things, 1st it can be caused by moisture in the paper, try fresh paper out a sealed packet. two- the developer is at fault and may need to be topped up or replaced
Ensure that you do not have image shift or border erase activated.
Also many copiers will not copy 'edge to edge' as they require a void lead edge to ensure that the copy does not jam in the fuser unit and a void tail egde to ensure that the same is true when duplexing. This adjustment should be done by a qualified technician. Also make sure that your original is not larger than your copy paper as you will have to reduce the image.
Voids are most often caused by lack of sufficient developer, which needs to be changed by a technician. developer has metal beads in it to draw the toner and make a full (dense) copy or print. these beads wear out or "dump" which initially cause gritty prints, then washed out prints. hope this helps.
You probably have some thing in the developer unit, if you take out the developer and check the bag roller and brush, if you slowly turn the dev unit you might see a void area that is being passed onto the drum.
If the developer has a large numbers of copies on it then dump the developer and replace the starter.
Make sure the developer get thoroughly cleaned especially behind the blade.
If the developer is not all that old, then lift the blade off and clean the backside of the blade, and the area or areas of the brush that have the void.
Does the black go all the way to the very edge.ALL copiers have a void area around the edges of the copy....to prevent the copy from sticking to the fuser roller, which operates at nearly 400 degrees while copying. The void area can be as much as 6 mm all the way around, that is to say, all 4 edges.without the void area, the copy will always jam at the fuser or fixing unit.Good Luck
