Do you use a router, or are you connecting the modem straight to the laptop?
Does the modem have multiple plugs for computers to plug into (if so, it is functioning as a router as well.?
Do you have any firewall/internet security software installed?
My guess without the above information would be that it is a problem with your DNS setting. Open "Network Connections" and right click on your "Local area connection" and go to properties. Click on the "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP" entry and click properties. Be sure that it is set up to "Obtain DNS server address automatically"
hello sir, this might be an driver issue since u have reinstalled the modem.the modem might have came with some driver installer cd.so plz check the driver and install the driver by inserting the cd and searching the driver from cd.
