Question about Audio & Video Receivers

WHO HAS THE ANSWER THE MANUFACTURE DOESN'T

I purchased a LG Home Theater system model LHT734. On the back of the receiver there is a connection for a wireless transmitter (DC 7V OUT). This wireless transmitter kit must be purchased separately. I called LG USA, they were no help. They only distribute and couldn't tell me the model number for the wireless transmitter kit. I called where I purchased the LG system and they say they don't know either. I need help in this if any one can lead me to a web site or store who sells it I would appreciate it. On the back of the speakers the is a connection for a screw in antenna, I'll need four antennas and one transmitter.

I have a 42 in LG HDTV and a dish satellite and a LG surround sound system how to I hook these up to hear sound while watching the sat

See if your satellite receiver has a digital out socket in the back ( optic / coaxial ). If so get yourself an optic/coaxial cable and link the TV out to your LG Home Theaters optic/coaxial In.
Now if your Satellite receiver does not have a digital out for sound you will have to connect the TV's audio out to the LG Home Theater Systems Aux / SAT / CBL input using appropriate cables .Either 3.5mm phono to 2RCA or 2 RCA to 2 RCA cables.

To listen to Tv program sound through your home theater system you will have to connect a pair of RCA to RCA cables (Red and White pair ) from the audio out socket of the TV ( some times three sockets Yellow/Red/White labeled Monitor out. Ignore the yellow as it is video out ) to the Aux or CBL/Sat input of the LG system. Then to listen to the sound through your LG HT system switch the Input selector of the LG to Aux or CBL/SAT. Will work for sure.

You will need to purchase a scart to HDMI converter - available in the UK for about £40.

If you Google 'Scart to HDMI converter' you should find several options, which will be cheaper if you are in the US!

Unfortunately the Humax box you have only supports Scart A/V I/O, which is of course now obsolete.

Setting up a Yamaha RX-V690 home theater system

you almost have the exact same situation i am in. i have the same receiver, and going to purchase a panasonic 50" (th50px75u). i think what i will be doing is running a hdmi from my hd cable box to my tv, and installing an audio cable (red/white) from my tv to the receiver. i believe there is an audio input below the hdmi insert. i have polk audio, but theyare about 10 years old, they sound great, but just too large....and may be purchasing a harman kardon system. which models do you have from polk? i have the rt16's, cs350ls center, and fx/500 rears. let me know what you have come up with as well...as it has been a while since you posted this.

cheers,
sean
