Hi,
The fix for this is very simple. But you are not alone here this is a common problem that I need to write a tip about...
If the water is going right through then either one of two things is happening. Either the hose is not going up high enough before it goes back down into the pipe, or the hose end is stuck into the water in the pipe and the result is that the water then can siphon out.
First thing to check is that the hose is going up to a point at least as high as the top of your washing machine before it turns and goes back down into the washer.
Next, check that the water level in the pipe is not backed up so that the end of the pipe is in the water. There needs to be an air gap so that you break the vacuum on the hose after the washing machine is done pumping out. If this does not happen the water going in will just get siphoned roght out again...

Checking these two things will solve your problem and you will be happy and washing again!!

Also check out this tip that I wrote on washing machine maintenance..

Won't drain and showing F 01

Good Day,
Your washing machine is fully automatic?
the washing cycle is normal?
if yes do the same maybe it will help you.
for the fully automatic washing machine mostly have drain pump, please check the filter of your drain pump, how? remove the cup of your drain pump like a ordinary cup, screw it clock wise or counter clock wise.
Remove drain pump filter and clean it, some hair pins, cotton buds or coins or any small item that coz of clog up.
if your washing machine dont have drain pump ,but fully automatic check the drain motor if running or not? how? open the back cover for top loader washing machine only, select spin cycle and press start to see the drain motor running? the drain motor is like a small box with small wire to pull the lever of the drain to remove water inside, if the motor running or pull the lever of the water pipe but water still inside the washing machine, remove the drain cup or cover and clean it or check if have coin or cloth inside that coz of clog or water stuck,
if the drain pump or drain motor is weak this is will cause and long time draining or totally not running the drain pump or drain motor and its cause of totally stop the cycle of washing machine in rinse time or spin time, because all fully automatic washing machine, after washing cycle the drain pump or drain motor must be on, to remove water before start the next cycle. rinse or spin cycle.

Top Load Roper Washer 7 cycle 2 speed W10330949A Bought 2 months ago ..not hooked up right away either While machine is in the washing cycle...water keeps draining out and refilling. Also Water is...

The drain hose needs to be higher than the top of the water level and yes, there needs to be an air gap so the drain does not siphon. As far as temperature, the machine will automatically put in cold or hot water depending on the temps selected. You cannot get straight hot water from this machine...that is by design. You will have to live with the temps you are given...I know, it sucks!

Several possible causes of a top load washer not fully draining.
a.) Kinked or obstructed drain hose
b.) New drain outlet is too high and the pump is not powerful enough to fully drain the washer
c.) Failing pump motor, that does not fully drain the washer.

Hi, You need to make sure the drain hose is as high as the top of the washer. If the drain hose is to low, the water wil drain out before it reaaches the proper water level.

Please let me know if this helps you or if I can assist you further.

Thanks

Water keeps draining LG WF-561SPP top loader

If the cycle does not stop draining that is usually because of a faulty membrane switch that controls the water level in your appliance.
The faulty sensor cause the machine to think that there is still water inside, even when water has drained completely.

Maytag legacy series washer not holding water

Same problem here. But according to Maytag Service, the draining pipe may be too deep inside the draining tube on the wall, thus creating a siphon effect and not allowing the tub to fill.
Their suggestion is to ckeck the pipe and make sure no more than 6-8 inches are inside the draining pipe. This should take care of the suction. We'll see, Imma do that when I get home.

Washing machine

the number one cause of this is your drain hose is too far down in the stand pipe or too low beneath the tub the drain hase should loop above the tub and about 4 inches down in the stand pipe if not this will create a siphoning effect that will drain the water as it fills

Water gets drained automatically without fills the water

HI there. You drain out pipe need to have a kink and the kink need to be higher than the highest point of when the machine is filled with water or else gravity will let the water drain out as you fill it up. HOpe it works.
