One of the recommendations in the manual if your iphone does not start is to push both the sleep button {located at the top of the phone} as well as the home button {the buttom as the lower end of the phone. That should do a cold restart for the phone and get it to work. Hope this information is of some help...

If the hard reset doesn't work, it probably means the battery is dead and needs to be replaced. if your phone is under warranty, bring it to an Apple Store. otherwise, you can do it yourself : Chinese vendors (such as DX) sell it for about $10-$15 shipped from Hong Kong, but requires to take appart the phone.

Not sure. But dod you check if the charger and the cable are correct? When you insert the charger cable the phone should give a beep, turn on for a few moments and than goes in sleeping mode. If nothing happens, please try another cable and / or an different charger.

Ok i have a problem i bought a iphone from my friend last night so he restarted everything and its been on the same screen for the whole night last night i dont know what to do i tryed restarting and...

. Press-hold the Home button (big circle below the screen) and the Sleep/Wake button (on top of the iPhone) simultaneously.
Continue holding both buttons (Ignore the "Slide to power off") until the iPhone shuts off and begins to restart.
when you see the silver Apple logo you can let go of the buttons.
and then try the phone and see if it is ok now
good luck

u probable need to have the batter replaced. After about 1-2 years , the battery starts to fade and releases the energy as heat instead of electricity. It will cost you about $30 or so

My Iphone wont turn on

my best guess is to plug it into itunes and hold down both the home and sleep buttons. this will put the phone into recovery mode and sadly has a very high chance of erasing everything on the phone. It, however, seems to be the only way to turn it on.

Iphone wont turn on

To fix this, you need to hook it up to your computer, run itunes, and let itunes recognize it. Itunes will notice it's not working right (you may need to play with it a bit to get to this point, otherwise just choose restore). When it's all connected, use iTunes to restore your phone to factory and try the jailbreaking all over again.

Good luck, let me know how that goes.

Caid.

If you just see an apple logo or your phone does not turn on, there is a software problem and you will need to restore your iPhone. I didn't want to hear it, because now I had to redo everything; but it's the only solution.

Put your iPhone into recovery mode.

To put your iPhone in recovery mode:
Step 1: Plug in your iPhone to your computer, make sure your sound is turned on and not muted.
Step 2: Hold the top corner button for two seconds. You should hear a sound.
Step 3: Now, still holding the top power button, immediately press the home button and hold both buttons for 10 seconds. You should hear another sound from your computer.

Step 4: Release the power button but *continue holding the home button*, for another 30 seconds.
Step 5: Meanwhile, continue holding the Home button and open iTunes. Wait for it to tell you that it’s in restore mode. You should also hear a third sound from your computer during this time.

Step 6: Click on your iPhone in iTunes. It should say it's in recovery mode and need to be restored. Step 7: Click OK and restore it.

Now you will need to re-jailbreak it, and restore your backup, and also put your music back in.

Good Luck!
