NAV200 GPS Receiver: need a new battery...

You chose the incorrect GPS that went out of business long time ago. They are still around but not even support or update. Look for some deals and get a new one with unlimited updates for less than $50 almost everywhere.

the battery is bad and therefore needs replacement.

Usually the Voltage into the unit is 5VDC. Like as from the USB socket.

NAV200 SD Card Reformat

Problem:

Customer reports that the NAV200 has lost its voice prompts and/or constantly reads NEW ROUTE.

Solution:

Reformat SD card from FAT-32 to FAT. And replace files on SD card with back up files from DVD-ROM.

Reason for Problem:

The navlib.ini file located in the navigation files (in mnav) is missing from the SD card. It is located in mnav in the back up files found on the DVD-ROM

There are male and female tabs all around the plastic case of the GPS unit itself. Gently pry and push the case halves in and away from each other. Be careful not to lose your cool, as it is frustrating.
